The first deployment of the navy occurred during World War II when the United States Navy sent a ship to Seattle, Washington to pick up supplies for Naval Base Lewis and Clark. The USS Olympia arrived in Seattle on December 3, 1941 and unloaded its cargo of munitions, food, and clothing for troops fighting in the Pacific Theater. Navy deployments continued during World War II as part of the war effort. On October 20, 1945, USS Constitution wassent from San Francisco to arrive at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton to be repaired following a collision with another ship while underway off Japan. During the Cold War period, naval forces were called into action again as a result of tensions between America and Russia. In 1961-1962 three Royal Marines were killed when their barracks collapsed while they slept inside HMY Britannia which was being stored at sea for conversion into an amphibious warfare ship. This led Congress to pass authorization for military construction of ships specifically intended for use in amphibious operations; these ships would become known as “Naval Beach Ships”. As a result of this legislation two new warships were ordered: HMS Ocean (launched on September 25th) and USS Argus (launched on October 26th). In 1970 eight marines were killed when their barracks collapsed while they slept inside HMSOscar which had been converted into an open-air observation post near Haiphong harbor in Vietnam by US Forces operating under Operation Rolling Thunder. This led Congress once again to pass authorization for military construction of vessels specifically designed for use in amphibious operations: these ships would become known as “ Landing Craft Infantry” or LCI’s. As a resultOf this legislation five more warships were ordered: USS John F Kennedy (launched on November 2nd), USS Enterprise (launched on November 3rd), USS Carl Vinson (launching on November 4th), CSS Norfolk Bay (launching on December 4th) and INS Sindhudurg (Launching January 9th 1971). These ships became operational between 1971-1972 under command of Commander Amphibious Force Vietnam until relieved by Rear Admiral Harry Halsey after he assumed command from Admiral William Crocker aboard cruiser Coral Sea on February 15th 1973 resulting in an overall reduction within the navy fleet from twenty-four LCS boats down to fifteen LCI's/LCC's/LLC's afloat today - all equipped with helicopters! The last Navy deployment was that Deployment 5196 which took place aboard INS Caronima from May 12-15 1976 disembarking American combat Marines who had served since 1965 throughout Southeast Asia

Maple Valley is a small town in King County, Washington. The population was 1,052 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle metropolitan area. Maple Valley is bordered by the cities of Kirkland and Bellevue to the north, Redmond to the east, and Issaquah to the south. The first permanent settler in what is now Maple Valley was David Chapman in 1851. In 1863, James Ault settled here after moving from Pike Place Market inSeattle. The post office opened in 1865 and was renamed Maple Valley on July 3rd of that year after a local tree that stands near its intersection with Interstate 5. In 1907, Wm Henson founded an oil refinery at nearby SeaTac Airport which became one of the largest employers in town with a workforce of over 2,000 people employed during World War I and II era production. After Henson's death in 1945 his son Walter took over operation of the refinery until it closed down in 1984 due to heavy economic decline throughout King County as industry moved away from Puget Sound region towards Mexico City and other Mexican ports for maritime commerce; this left Maple Valley with just 12 oil refineries operating out of more than 200 back then across all Western Washington state- although some continue operations today (e.g., Northwest Natural Gas). It is interesting to note that many of these gifts were donated by American families living abroad who had their homes bombed or burned during the war. In 1945 General MacArthur arrived in Tokyo as Japan's new Emperor following its surrender; he ordered all Japanese military forces must leave Japan within four days or face retribution including death or enslavement! The US Government responded with an overwhelming gift giving campaign which reached out to every corner of America; more than one hundred thousand packages were delivered directly to Japanese households!
