Maple Valley has a rich coffee history dating back to the early 1800s. The first Dutch settlers in the area were Abram and Jannetje van der Linden, who planted coffee trees in what is now Maple Valley. They named their farm “Rook” after a famous red rooster that was among the first to be imported into North America from Java. In 1853, John Davenport and his brother, David Davenport, bought land in what is now Maple Valley from Abram and Jannetje van der Linden. They started farming coffee beans on their property and soon began making excellent cups of java. In 1865, they purchased an additional 2 acres of land which made them the owners of 4 acres of prime real estate for coffee farming. Today, this parcel of land houses many businesses including The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Co., which was founded in 1978 by two brothers – Chuck Riedel and Dave McNaught – and their father, Bob McNaught. It is also home to Rook Coffee House, which opened its doors in 1984. The first Starbucks opened its doors in 1996 inside what is now Rook Coffee House. Since then, Starbucks has been an integral part of the local community and has helped make Maple Valley one of the most popular coffee destinations in Western Washington. One of the more recent additions to this growing chain is Seattle-based Peet’s Coffee & Tea Companywhichopened its doors in 2007 adjacent to Rook Coffee House. This location became an instant favorite with locals due to its delicious drip coffees as well as unique atmosphere and great customer service!

The first coffee house in Maple Valley was established in 1868. The first coffee beans were delivered by wagon to the residents of the town, who roasted and brewed their own coffee. In 1895, a second coffee house was opened and soon afterwards, a grocery store, bakery and post office were added to the business. In 1907, Maple Valley became an incorporated village and the first mayor was elected from among the village's citizens. By 1916, there were six businesses in maple valley with a total population of over 150 people. By 1922, maple valley had become an incorporated city with its own police department and fire department. The growth of commercialized caffeine began to take hold in Maple Valley during the early 1960s when local businessmen began developinga large manufacturing operation for high quality espresso machines called Delta Coffee Incorporated. This company quickly grew into one of Washington's leading exporters of fine espresso machines and milk products. Today, Delta Coffee continues to operate as a family-owned business with multiple locations across Washington state
Maple Valley is a small town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 568 at the 2010 census. Maple Valley is part of the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue metropolitan area. It is located on the eastern edge of the Evergreen State National Park and is home to many science museums, including the Boeing Co.'s Puget Sound Research Center, Mount Rainier National Park, and Mount Strom Thurston National Monument. The first permanent settler in Maple Valley was James Hargrave who moved from Rhode Island in 1855. Hargrave named his community after a maple tree near his farmstead. He also donated land for a post office and school which opened in 1860. In 1865, J.H.] Stephenson founded Stevens Creek Manufacturing Company which became one of the largest employers in Maple Valley with plants manufacturing agricultural products such as potatoes, apples, flour and other goods until it closed its doors in 1978. In 1870 John Crouse built Crouse's Mill on what is now Main Street which became an important local center for clothiers and milliners until it closed its doors in 1975. The first carpenter shop was established by Elisha Goode on land donated by Peter Kapp along with four other small businesses (goodes Hardware & Lumber Co., Mr Fords Carriage Works, Wm Jentzsch & Sons Cigar Store) around 1875; these early businesses were all destroyed by fire about 1930 when aluminum cans were being processed at Goode's factory on First Avenue NW (now DoCoMo Way NE). In 1907 Clara Jane Robinson erected her Odd Fellows Lodge No 873 on a plot of land donated by her father-in-law Oscar Soderlund (1864–1941), an important figure in Swedish culture during that time period who served as mayor of Seattle from 1911 to 1913 and again from 1917 to 1919; this lodge became known as "Oscar's". Mrs Robinson also founded both Henry Matson Chevrolet dealership (later bought out by General Motors) across First Avenue NW from her lodge starting 1928 before it burned down about 1966; this store remains one of Seattle's most popular tourist destinations today among locals and visitors alike for its unique architecture and memorabilia collection dating back to 1915 when Matson began making delivery cars through his business partnerships with PaineWebber transportation company founder Charles Leary . There are numerous park features within easy walking distance of downtown Maple Valley such as: Oak Hill Lakefront Preserve - containing over 12 miles of hiking trails ideal for family events or weekend getaways; Boeing Puget Sound Research Center - home to world famous research programs sponsored by Boeing including Aeronautics Division development studies into hypersonic vehicles capabilities beyond anything currently possible using only air breathable materials; Mount Rainier National Park - home to some world class scenic views including Mt Olympus with an elevation greater than 3200 meters above sea level! Here we will look at some of the most famous and well-known coffee brands in history, as well as their associated stories. The first coffee was grown on an small farm near Mecca in Arabia about 6th century BCE. The beans were ground into flour and used to make bread, tea, and other beverages. Arab traders brought the beans back to Europe in the 15th century CE. In 1795, Dutch traders founded a cafe called Koffiehuis (coffee house) in Rotterdam which became one of the most popular tourist destinations in the city. Dutch coffee houses were known for their high quality coffee and for selling various products such as pastries, cigars, chocolate goods, and clothing. One of the most famous Dutch coffeehouses was De Kruidkop (Crow's Kop) which was located on Dam Square in Amsterdam. The café served up fresh brewed Java Coffee every morning from 1795 until 1814 when it closed due to financial troubles. In 1819, British merchants established what is now known as London Coffee House after they discovered that Dutch traders had been trading coffee illegally across English waters! The coffee house became very successful because it offered high-quality drinks at affordable prices while also providing information about European trade winds & shipping patterns! The business continued until 1865 when it burned down due to fire risk caused by overcrowding inside! German traders set up a similar business called Kaffeehaus (coffee house) between Frankfurt am Main and Leipzig in 1698 CE where they sold hot BREWED COFFEE! This type of business flourished until 1710 when Frederick II decided to close all German cafes because he found them to be unprofitable! In Sweden it was first reported that people were drinking MOCHA BEANS with MASKED COFFEE at Sveriges Hus (Sweden's National Palace) during Lent 2001! An early reference to espresso being made from real espresso beans can be found from 1555 CE when Giovanni da Prato wrote: "Espresso est mixta cum lupus et ferox". From this definition we know that espresso actually refers to two different types of beans – LUPUS AND FEROX – both ground together into a more powerful form than common black pepper or cuminoids alone could provide! The area that now makes up Maple Valley was originally part of the Spokane Indian Reservation. In 1881, the United States bought the reservation and organized it into four counties. The county seat was established at Mount Vernon.
