The company was later renamed Brown Brothers Coffee Incorporated and became one of the most well-known and respected coffee brands in America.

Lynnwood has been known for its Agricultural Products Manufacturing (APM) industry since it became a town in 1907 and for its light industrial sector which includes Boeing and other defense contractors as well as retail businesses such as Safeway and KFC. The City of Lynnwood was organized on May 11, 1907 by vote of the town trustees. The first mayor was Wirt Hinton. On July 1, 1908, the city annexed the village of Snoqualmie to its borders. In 1916, Lynnwood became an incorporated municipality with a population of 2,500 people. During World War II the city saw heavy military activity with over 100% employment in aircraft production; however during peacetime there were only slight changes due to lack of pressing need until after 9/11 when aviation started becoming more prevalent again In 1951-1957 two large high schools were built: Northwest High School (now Westlake High School) and Central High School which are now both closed but their land is still used by Lynnwood Community College nearby On November 3rd 1994 Mayor Harry Seibert announced that all downtown stores would close starting at 7pm that night because of budget cuts which followed several years of recessionary trends in King County . This event sparked protests from merchants who wanted to keep their business open

On July 3, 1792, the first public school in Lynnwood was opened. It was called the "School for Boys" and was located on Main Street. The school was founded by Captain John Sellers and his wife Jane Sellers. In 1812, the captain donated land to the town for a public school. The first building of the town's current elementary and middle schools were built on this land in 1898.
