The history of the shooting game is a long and rich one. It can be traced back to the 18th century, when Native Americans began using firearms as part of their traditional hunting methods. The practice spread among European settlers in the area, and by the 1830s, shootings had become a common pastime in East Wenatchee. At first, shooters used shotguns or handguns; however, by the 1870s, guns had become more commonplace and began to be used for target shooting. In 1892, A.C. Smith & Sons bought a factory that manufactured rifles and shotguns in East Wenatchee. From here on out, rifle manufacturing was core business at Smith & Sons; handguns were produced intermittently until 1907. In 1949, Wesson Firearms Company purchased Smith & Sons’ handgun division. This led to an increase in production capacity for handguns – from 2 million pistols per year in 1949 to over 10 million per year by 1957. Over time, handgun production became more diversified: from revolvers (which were initially designed as sporting weapons) to semi-automatic pistols and rifles (which are now known as “assault” firearms). East Wenatchee is a town in Chelan County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,818 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Wenatchee–Douglas metropolitan area. The townsite was laid out in 1881 by George Forbes as an agricultural and ranching community on the south bank of the Wenatchee River. By 1907, it had grown to become one of the largest villages in rural Washington with over 1,000 residents. In 1930s East Wenatchee became a center for munitions production during World War II due to its proximity to Japanese-controlled territory in Southeast Asia. The post-war years saw growth as businesses moved into new buildings and young families were drawn to East Wenatchee's beautiful countryside and natural resources. In recent decades, however, East Wenatchee has seen a decline in population and economic activity due to changing demographics and TOURISM The early history of East Wenatchee can be traced back to 1881 when George Forbes laid out an agricultural and ranching community on the south bank of the Wenatchee River known then as "Townsite No. 2". At first there were only three houses - one from each lot - but within two years there were more than 100 people living here together in small villages form across four lots - "Villages A through E". Today these original Village Lots are broken up into smaller parcels located east of I-5 close to Lake Chelan which makes for a different feel when walking through town today compared to when we first walked through it 50+ years ago! Forbes set about developing this settlement primarily based on his belief that such a community would be selfsufficient with enough land available for farming, cattle herding, hunting and fishing; he also believed that by doing so he could control access to resources necessary for his society’s survival both upstream (the river) and downstream (the soil). This philosophy eventually paid off; within two years Townsite No 2 had reached a size where it could no longer be self-sufficient and began looking for outside assistance such as loans from banks or donations from other villagers who wanted their own piece of this successful endeavors called "Townsite Development" which continued until 1931 when it merged with neighboring Village #3 forming what we know now as East Wenatchee/Douglas." In order for Townsite No 2/East Wenatchee not just survive but thrive over time they needed someone who could manage all aspects associated with its running including: water supply, construction permits etc., so it hired John McKay Sr., another local man born & raised right hereabouts who went on to build some of America's most iconic infrastructure including Sasquatch Lake Dam & Eastern State Penitentiary – both still standing today! Today Townsite No 2 continues play an important role not just because it has always been able to provide us with our basic needs like water & electricity but also because we're home basecamp for alotof Rural Western Washington's top tourist attractions like Mount Rainier National Park & Mt Baker Wilderness Preserve...plus plenty more!

East Wenatchee, Washington is a small town in Douglas County, Washington on the north shore of the Columbia River. The population was 1,362 at the 2010 census. It is one of two communities in Douglas County (the other being East Wenatchee) that are not part of Seattle. The first Europeans to visit what is now East Wenatchee were fur traders and missionaries travelling through the region in 1820-21. The area was first inhabited by the Pomo people before they were moved to reservations in 1861. In 1874, gold was discovered nearby and settlers began arriving to exploit it. By 1907, there were over 100 residents living in East Wenatchee. During World War II, many Japanese Americans lived in East Wenatchee and elsewhere along the west coast of America because they were interned during the war based on their race. Afterward, many residents became involved with local businesses and organizations such as United Way and American Legion postcard clubs that helped support war efforts. In 1957,Douglas County was created from parts of Kitsap and King counties; East Wenatchee became its only community withinDouglas County limits. The following year saw the opening of Interstate 5 which increased access to eastern Douglas County for development outside of Seattle; however, much of east Douglas remained rural until after 2000 when more industrialization took place in this area which has led to a net loss in jobs for locals over time
When the U.S. acquired what is now East Wenatchee in 1847, it was part of the Oregon Territory and under Mexican rule. The first white settlers in East Wenatchee were Levi Henschel and his family, who arrived in 1848. They started a small farm on the east side of the creek that later became known as Henschel's Landing. In 1862, when Yakima County was formed from parts of Walla Walla and Kittitas counties, East Wenatchee came within its boundaries. East Wenatchee remained largely rural until the early 20th century, when development began to increase along the creek corridor between Wenatchee and Seattle. This growth led to increased population density and an increased need for water resources; consequently, development also caused environmental problems such as over-fishing and erosion. In recent decades, East Wenatchee has seen a resurgence in its culture and economy due to its proximity toSeattle metropolitan area and its status as an agricultural center for much of Northwest Washington.
