Camas is a small town in Washington State that is located on the banks of the Columbia River. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. Camas is known for its fertile farmland and natural resources, including cotton, hops, and salmon. Camas also has a strong history as an agricultural center with many businesses and organizations devoted toAgriculture. The first European to visit Camas was Juan Rodríguez de Fuca in 1792 during his exploration of the lower Columbia River region. Fuca noted the rich soil and large waterholes near Camas and named it after this spot. In 1824, Captain George Vancouver explored the area around present-day Camas and named it after his friend John Bullock who had resided there for several years before that. In 1870, following Gold Rush days in central Washington there was much interest in land east of Yakima Falls because of its promising prospects for mining operations. A group of businessmen purchased 640 acres from William Hutton near what is now Yakima Falls Dam on the Columbia River from him in 1871. They organized as the Northern Pacific Railroad Company which began operating passenger trains between Seattle and Tacoma using steam locomotives over tracks they had laid along their property northeast of Yakima Falls Bridge across the river. This opened up new opportunities for farming west of Yakima Falls but also created problems because railroad transportation would not allow goods to be transported long distances without being unloaded at some point so agriculture could be transported by wagons or stagescoops overland to market then trucked back home; this process took weeks or even months! In 1899, when Congress passed legislation creating Tongass National Park along most of present-day eastern Washington it included all or part of modern-day Camas County within its boundaries making it possible for people living within those boundaries to have access to national park resources regardless of ownership status (although individual landowners continued to manage their own national park assets). In 1907, when Bear Lake became a national lake under Legislative Act 106-332 camels were able to graze there on public lands beginning a long tradition that continues today with people visiting bear ponds adjacent to campgrounds where llamas can be seen grazing during lunchtime

Mr. Coffee continued making roasts until it merged with Keurig in 1974. Since then, many other startups have taken up the roast-your-own-coffee banner including Peet's Coffee (now part of Nestle), Blue Bottle Coffee (formerly craft brewer Stone Brewing) and Four Barrel Coffee Roasters (formerly Blue Bottle Brewery).

Camas was founded in 1855 as a small farming community on the banks of the Snake River. It grew rapidly during the late 19th century and early 20th century as a result of its strategic location on the railroad network and its natural resources. After World War II, Camas declined as a result of increased development and economic competition from nearby towns. However, since the 1990s it has seen growth thanks to new initiatives such as a business incubator and an art center. Camas is located about 25 miles (40 km) northeast of Seattle and 10 miles (16 km) west of Moses Lake.
Camas is a community in the U.S. state of Washington located on the Columbia River estuary. The name comes from the Cascades, and was first given to the area by Chief Joseph as part of his land grant to the Spokane Tribe in 1855. The town was founded in 1886 by nine settlers, led by Alfred Vail, Sr., and grew rapidly due to its position at the mouth of the Columbia River and access to timber and shipping resources. Camas reached its peak development around 1910-1920; however, it experienced rapid decline during World War II due to military activity in nearby Tacoma and Seattle. Camas Today is a small farming community with a population of just over 100 residents
