Navy deployments have always been a part of the Auburn, Washington community. The Naval Air Station (NAS) in Auburn was founded in 1924 and has been home to many different types of aircraft including bombers, fighter jets, and helicopters. The Navy's Expeditionary Aircraft Squadrons provide air support for military operations worldwide. Today, NAS Auburn is home to the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) which is providing humanitarian relief throughout the Caribbean Sea. This deployment is also one of many that NAS Auburn has played an important role in over the years. In 1951, NAS Auburn was responsible for launching Operation Neptune's Spear which led to the independence of Cambodia. NAS Auburn also took part in Operation Desert Storm in 1991 which helped end Saddam Hussein's rule in Iraq. Finally, NAS Auburn was also responsible for deploying Task Force 121 during World War II which transported food and water supplies to help Allied forces fight off Nazi Germany. The USS Enterprise (CVN-65) will be visiting various ports around the Caribbean Sea before arriving at Jostadt Anker on December 15th 2018. This deployment will involve stops at Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; St Maarten, Netherlands Antilles; and Curaçao. These visits are all part ofOperation Blue Water III which is a global effort by USNIOC to promote maritime security through partnerships with international organizations such as NATO and United Nations Maritime Forces http://www2.navy.mil/navair/factsheets/Factsheet_0012_1_.pdf . This deployment will also include inspections of ships' equipment and systems as well as networking with other naval vessels around the world

Auburn, Washington is a city in the U.S. state of Washington and the county seat of Thurston County. The population was 29,872 at the 2010 census, making it the 11th-most populous city in Washington. Auburn is located on Puget Sound and is bordered by Thurston County to the east, King County to the north, Seattle to the west and south, and Bellevue to the southwest. The University of Washington campus lies just outside of townlimits on Tukwila Boulevard. The area that now comprises Auburn was first settled by Native Americans in what is now Thurston County in 1853. In 1861, when California became part of United States after its admission into the Union as a free state, Auburn was chosen as its new county seat with land from King County. The first courthouse in town was built in 1865; it burned down in 1897 but was rebuilt and used until 1924. The current courthouse building was completed in 1928 and dedicated by then-Mayor Franklin D. Roosevelt with his wife Eleanor Roosevelt present. In 1990, Microsoft moved its corporate headquarters from Seattle to Redmond following their purchase of Paul Allen's former software company Gates Software for US$76 billion (US$). At that time much of Redmond's downtown had been Destroyed during an urban renewal project which also included demolition of many older buildings including Microsoft's original headquarters building which still stands today

Officers and sailors would send each other small presents consisting of cigarettes, matches, or other assorted supplies. This gave rise to the term "navy birthday" because it signaled an occasion when all members of a unit were expected to bring along a gift that year. 2) Over time, however, gifts became more personal and ceremonial. For example, during peacekeeping operations or deployments in support of Operation Desert Storm in 1991, members of the Navy SEALs received uniforms from then-President George H.W. Bush as part of their Unit Citation! 3) Another popular way for sailors and officers to show their appreciation is through special orders or caches (known as "baskets"). These are typically filled with clothes, cosmetics, tools or any other item that the recipient may have Requested/Not Received from others in the military (usually friends and family). Many naval installations now have specially designated areas within them where these baskets can be found! The following is an excerpt from an article about gift history in the Naval Service written by Rear Admiral Steve Nadelman: In recent decades there has been a growing trend among Sailors and Marines serving aboard ships engaged in military operations ashore and afloat to provide momentous occasions such as Victory Day Celebration or National Fleet Week with markable displays of excellence both professional and personal - often culminating with presentation of Awards at Functions ashore including those associated with Commanding Officers posts...a significant symbolic act affording key exposure on shoreline forums throughout America's maritime community...the traditional Naval Christmas Season provides another excellent opportunity for special expression through thoughtful actions which reflect abiding friendship between our two Armed Forces'. It should also be noted that many Sailors who choose not to engage in this customarily rewarding activity do so out choice rather than being forced into it by restrictive regulations promulgated by DoD.. Auburn, Washington is a small town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,554 at the 2010 census. Auburn is part of the Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area. Auburn was founded by Pacific Northwest fur traders in 1853 and named for General James K. Polk. It became an agricultural center after the opening of the Union Canal in 1865 helped to increase trade with Mexico and Central America. In 1907 Auburn became one of first communities inKing County to be incorporated as a municipality. In 1916 Auburn lost its charter as a municipality but regained it two years later when King County voted to allow municipalities to exist without charters if they passed an ordinance providing for equal representation on council both male and female residents regardless of race or ethnicity). In 1968, Auburn was designated as the county seat of King County due to growth in neighboring Tukwila and Lakewood which had not received county services such as water, sanitation or police until then. The current courthouse was built between 1928 and 1930 on land that once served as a lumber mill complex known locally simply as "The Mill." From 1927 until 1973 the senior Senator from Washington State (then Alaskan) Jesse Helms attended classes at University of Puget Sound where he met his future wife Nancy Erskine Helms while attending law school; they married in 1951 at Westminster Abbey in London before returning home to start their legal career there three years later. After six years working out of their home state’s capital Olympia Nancy moved back east with her children Bobbi and Chris; Chris would marry Lew Rockwell Jr., notable author and columnist for "The New York Times" during much of the Cold War era

The town was named after Auburn University, the first in the United States to offer a course in political science. The town's population reached 1,000 in 1880 and 5,000 by 1890.
