The Marine Corps Deployment Gift History Collection at Arlington National Cemetery preserves the memories of Marines who have served in The United States Military. Arlington is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 11,031 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of King County. Arlington is located along Interstate 5 and State Route 99 south of Seattle. The area that would become Arlington was first settled by Native Americans in the late 1700s. The first European to arrive in what would become Arlington was Captain George Vancouver on July 14, 1792 during his survey of Puget Sound. He named the place "After Bayonnaise" after his French navigator and friend François Bienville who had also explored Puget Sound earlier that year. In 1851, Prentice Milliner built a mill onushing into what would become Arlington from Elliott Lake where he had previously been operating a sawmill. This mill became one of the largest employers in Arlington with over 200 employees working at various jobs including lumbering, tanning, manufacturing products and supplying groceries to local residents as well as exported to Japan and China. In 1903, American Express moved its headquarters from Seattle to downtown Tacoma and wanted their new building close to their customers so they leased the land between Broadway Avenue South and I-5 for an express mail depot which served as their Headquarters until 1961 when it moved across I-5 to its current location near CenturyLink Field northwest of downtown Tacoma. By 1907 there were only about 20 people living in what is now Arlington; however this grew rapidly due to annexation by King County from Snohomish County following a referendum held in 1895 which authorizedKing County's merger with Snohomish County pursuant to then state law No 97-1 (March 3, 1897). The growth of Arlington paralleled that of King county although it did not have nearly the same extent of development outside of downtown Tacoma until after World War II when large amounts of housing were constructed around Interstate 5 linking downtown Tacoma with suburban areas such as Microsoft Surface Park eastside directly south then north side westward past Safeco Field before rejoining Interstate 5 northeast terminating at Union Station southeastof Downtown Tacoma . Today much older neighborhoods such as Northfield are still heavily populated with several thousand residents although many properties have been changed or replaced since white flight ended more than 50 years ago giving most buildings complete facades rather than just brick walls & roofs today

They contributed 12 crates of chocolates each!(We still have them!) - Every Fourth Quarter holiday season, 1st Battalion/5th Marines sends an inscribed box filled with appreciation items (tickets to games, snacks etc.) directly to the families or individuals responsible for providing care for our troops deployed overseas that quarter! There have even been cases where marines will contribute tasks such as painting barracks or cleaning up camps while they areaway!
