The first deployment of Gift Jars occurred during World War II when RAF personnel sent items such as cigarettes, candy bars, and postcards to American servicemen stationed overseas. Although these deployments were limited in scope, they left a lasting legacy on how USAF Officers interact with their international counterparts. Since then, Gifts has become an integral part of USAF culture through deployments around the world. The jar program began as simply a way for Officers to express gratitude to their counterparts abroad, but it quickly evolved into something much more personalized and meaningful. Today, Gifts plays an essential role in USAF Officer exchanges throughout the globe and helps keep our relationships strong while providing support for our mission at home and abroad.

It operates more than 30 bases throughout the United States, Europe, Asia Pacific and South America. One of the USAF's main missions is providing aerial refueling for coalition aircraft in battle. This service provides fuel to planes on battlefields around the world. RAF Refueling Point Lakenheath in UK supports this mission by providing aerial refueling support to USAAF Lockheed Martin KC-135 Stratotankers flying missions against ISIL militants in Iraq and Syria. In addition, RAF Refueling Point Broughton near Cardiff serves as an airborne tanker base for Long Range Aviation (LRA) tanker flights supporting Coalition forces operating in Afghanistan and Iraq. The USAF operates three combat air patrol squadrons which provide strategic airspace control over large areas within U.S. territory for monitoringand enforcing international law

Arlington is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 12,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area. Arlington is located on the southern edge of Everett Township and north of Kirkland Township. The land that would become Arlington was first settled by the Puyallup Indian tribe in 1835. In 1865, the US military built Fort Myer as an artillery fortification to protect Puget Sound from possible British attack during the American Civil War. Arlington became a town on October 15, 1872, when it split from Everett. The townsite was annexed by Kirkland on February 2, 1907. As of the 2010 census, there were 12,812 people living in Arlingtontownships and Kirklandtownships combined. Arlington has a rich history that includes many famous residents and events such as: Ulysses S Grant (1822-1885) – President Ulysses S Grant was born in Arlingtonsville and died there at age 79 years old after being wounded in battle at Spotsylvania Court House while serving as General Shermans Chief of Staff during his campaign against Robert E Lee in 1864. He is considered one of Americas most influential men and served two terms as president before his death at the hands of Union troops near Petersburg Virginia on April 12th,. Grant has been honored numerous times with both public and private monuments including a Presidential Decoration from George Washington which he received in 1886 followed by an Arlingtonsville High School graduate statue outside of The White House lawn in 2008 Helden Field—the first ball field ever built—was played at what is now Arlington Stadium between 1889 and 1893 by students from Snohomish High School under then Superintendent Amos Kendall who also helped build consolidated school districts for all 10 counties east of Seattle Ulysses S Wood (1867-1937) – A native son who grew up in Arlingtonsville married Della Scott (née Parkhurst) when he was just 19 years old and they moved to Tacoma where she worked as a teacher before becoming a social worker . They had two children before moving back to Tacoma where Wood worked various jobs until he met Edith Carruth (1902-1982), an artist working at Boeing Aeronautical Laboratories who convinced him to start home construction projects . The United States Air Force Deployed Gift History is the history of air force deployed gifts. It began in 1947 when the USAF was created as a separate branch of the military. The USAF was made up of independent commands and units, many of which were equipped with aircraft and munitions. One such unit was the Bomber Command, which bestowed gift histories on its fighters and bombers. In 1951, Headquarters USAF decided to create a centralized organization for all USAF gifts. This organization would be known as the AFBGiftHistory Department. The AFBGiftHistory Department became responsible for all air force deployed gifts from worldwide bases and commanders within the USAF. Gifts could be any type, including food, clothing, tools, vehicles or technology. Since its inception, AFBGiftHistory has given away over 1 million items to civilians and military members around the world. These items have helped make life more comfortable for those who have received them, as well as providing support to our mission at home and abroad.

Arlington is a town in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 5,471 at the 2010 census. It is the fourth-largest community in King County and the largest in the county's south-central area. Arlington is also home to Arlington National Cemetery and Fort Myer Park. The name of Arlington comes from two sources: one source said it was derived from an Indian word meaning "place of many waters," and another source cited English settlers who named it after General George Washington's estate on Princeof Wales Island inVA. The first permanent settler in what became Arlington was Captain John Smith, who arrived with his group of followers in 1792 during the Northwest Company era. In 1847, Congress created King County as part of the Kansas Territory; however, no land was acquired for the county seat until 1857 when Arlington residents voted to create a new township within their own borders. The original townsite lay mostly within present-day Arlington Heights on what are now Worth Road and Lee Highway (now Interstate 5). The first school for students inside today's limits of Arlington opened in 1854--just six years after Mount Vernon had been founded as a national cemetery nearby. Earthworks marking President George Washington's Mount Vernon plantation can be seen along Herndon Road just outside present-day Rosslyn; this road served as a short spur leading up to Fairfax Drive near present-day Pentagon Hill while route 1 ran concurrently through central Alexandria Township east to west across Prince Georges County out into Frederick County (later Virginia). In 1865, some farmers north of centerline pulled away from localresidentry because they felt thatKingCounty officials were not doing enough to promote agriculture around Ballinger Lake; this group would come to be known as "the ballingeraires". In 1870, Congress passed an act providing for organization of counties in all newly acquired states resulting in King COUNTY being formed centered around Ballinger Lake northwest of downtown; however, by then most residents had moved away from Ballinger Lake or left for better prospects elsewhere within king county . Northside developments continued apace even after annexation by jurisdictions further northeast including Kentwood and Woodinville which happened between 1907–1909 due largely to heavy investment by Will Rogers heirs following their father’s death that year; these investments allowedBallingerLake development into its current form today including many high-end Stuyvesant Town projects completed since those days . Arlington incorporation occurred on November 7th 1888 under state law 3595 (15 USC § 11) when portions ofFremont and Ballard Counties decided not to become part ofKing COUNTY due primarilyto lackof support from central government . There are many different types of gifts that can be sent, including toys, books, food, clothing, and more. The program is open to military spouses of service members who are deployed anywhere in the world.Gift recipients can select from any type of gift that they may have in their home country or on deployment. Once they have selected their gift, they need to fill out an application and receive a shipping notification. Once their gift has been shipped it will arrive with tracking information so that the recipient can track its progress. If there is any problem with their gift it will be handled by the air force deployee liaison team which includes representatives from local stores where the giftee resides as well as representatives from barracks or unit commanders.
