The business was started by two friends, David Crane and John Witherspoon, who were looking for a place to sell their morning coffee. Mr. Crane continued to run the business until his death in 1921. The Second Coffee House opened in 1916 and became the largest coffee house in Ogden at that time. It was also the first store to offer percolator machines for purchase. The Third Coffee House was founded in 1922 and served as the headquarters of the Utah Brewers Cooperative from 1938-1948. Today there are several different businesses that operate within the confines of The First Coffee House building including Blue Bottle Coffee Company, Crossroads Café & Bakery, Cream City Café & Brewery, Gilded Cage Brewing Co., Karma Koffee & Teabar (opened 2016), Magnolia Cafe & Brews (opened2015), new location on Temple Square called "Cupcake Junction" ozark cafe #1 (opened2017) And finally our newest spot - Ozark Cafe & Grindz on Main Street just down from State Capitol building!

Ogden, Utah is a city in the US state of Utah. The population was 134,301 as of the 2010 census. Ogden is home to Brigham Young University and Wasatch Front Park. The first settler in what would become Ogden was Jacob Hamlin in 1847. In 1861, Brigham Young founded the Mormon Battalion which fought in the American Civil War before returning to Nauvoo, Illinois. On April 12, 1865 after a siege by Union forces that lasted for days, Brigham Young's body was exhumed from an unmarked grave and buried at Salt Lake City's Pioneer Cemetery. Today much of Ogden's early history can be found at the LDS Church's Salt Lake Temple Complex which opened in 1988. Ogden has been inhabited since prehistoric times by Native Americans who hunted large game including Elk and Bears on high ridges overlooking the river valleys that now form downtown Ogden. The first Europeans to arrive were Spanish traders who journeyed downriver from Southern California around 1820-25C known as "The Roaring Forties". They traded goods such as horses, fur coats and weaponry with local natives for cornmeal, saltpeter and other minerals discovered along their route through central Utah Valley including those near present day Provo and Logan UTs then back up against the Great Salt Lake beyond today’s Weber County line What followed were long periods of peace until livestock raiding parties gradually became more common starting about 1800 when sources indicate “the Mormons began to import large numbers of stock from England during this period” (Farrell). By 1830 a thriving cattle economy had emerged with sheep being farmed east of town while hogs were raised west on high hills near today’s Preston Park neighborhood In 1834 John Blair established Blair Station on current site of Ensign Street just east of Main Street between Highland Avenue north and south across Interstate 15) later renamed Uintah Station where he ran his store selling goods to settlers coming into centralUtah Territory On October 25th 1846 several hundred Latter Day Saints led by Joseph Smith arrived at Bridger Creek Landing northeast of what is now Cottonwood Heights outside modern Salt Lake City following their flight from Nauvoo overland in Dodgey wagon trains led by George Fetterman . After spending winter among nearby Mesa people they moved upstream towards Bridger Creek Landing where supplies caches had been built by Clark Powell prior to his deathCache discoveries included obsidian blades tools pots & spoons stone fragments etc many items still unidentified but thought likely Indian artifacts

Ogden, Utah is a city in Weber County, Utah, United States. The population was 15,811 at the 2010 census. Ogden is the largest city in Weber County and the second-largest city in Utah after Salt Lake City. It is also the county seat of Weber County. The first settlement in what is now Ogden was made on December 12, 1847 when David W. Wells founded a post office and gristmill at present-day North Ogden on Uinta Ridge east of today's downtown Ogden. Wells named his town after George Washington Ogden who had served as ambassador to Russia before becoming president of the United States in 1789. Wells situated his mill on the site of Fort Bridger which he had built near Brigham Young's headquarters south of modern day Provo during 1846-1847 as part of an effort to gain control over the Great Basin region then held by Mexican claimants to California under President Polk including Captain Mexico who styled himself "Governor General" while stationed at Fort Bridger from 1849 until his sale to Brigham Young on January 7, 1850; Mexican Governor Peña Nieto's forces were defeated at Battle of Bear Valley on January 6th 1850 by American soldiers commanded by Lieutenant Colonel James Harkness Aideen who later became governor of Arizona Territory A new post office called Promontory was established at present-day North Ogden on November 3rd, 1860 under the name "OgDEN". On February 14th 1861 local citizens voted 2 to 1 for incorporation into Weber County with Promontory becoming its first capital and namesake for that time Promontory ceased operations effective March 10th 1865 when it was merged into contemporary Ogden On July 5th 1870 Mormon pioneers John Cargill and William Clayton arrived from Salt Lake City led by handcartographer Joshua Sitton they founded Cedar City along US Route 50 about four miles northwest of Promontory Cedar City quickly grew due to its location next to Cache Valley where saltpeter production began shortly thereafter enabling easy access to goods needed for LDS church construction projects across what are now western Nevada and eastern Arizona
Ogden was founded in 1847 by Peter Ogden and wagon train. The town grew rapidly due to the influx of Mormons from Nauvoo, Illinois. In 1865, Brigham Young moved the Mormon people from Nauvoo to Salt Lake City, Utah. The new city became a center for irrigation and commerce. By 1870, Ogden had a population of 10,000 people. In 1911, Ogden was renamed Murrayfield after Major General George Armstrong Custer who died in battle at Little Big Horn
