The first coffee beans were planted in Farmington in 1896 by George Atherton and his brothers-in-law John Wafer and Hiram Wallis. In 1906, Hyrum Egan started selling coffee from a small shop on Main Street. In 1928, Harry Potter bought the business and renamed it Potter's Coffee House. In 1935, Harry Potter moved to a new building on Temple Square which served as the main store until its closure in 1979. In that year, Brigham Young University hired Dickenson Worldwind Coffee Company to roast their own coffee beans for use at BYU. The first purchase of ground coffee by BYU was made in 1941 when they bought two bags of Dutch Roasters' product from Gordon Biersch Brewery in Hanover Park Illinois. In 1948, Don Chaffey founded Chaffey's Coffeehouse on State Street near Capitol Reef National Park with the goal of providing quality farm-to-table coffee to area residents and visitors alike . By 1984 Chaffey had built 16 buildings within close distance of each other across 4 blocks between Main and State Streets in downtown Farmington – making it one of the largest espresso bars in North America . Over time Chaffey's has expanded its operations into retail stores as well as cafes throughout Utah including locations at Wasatch Hot Springs Resort & Spa (now Heavenly Guest Ranch), Eagle Mountain Resort & Spa (later Alpine Meadows), Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area (later Zion National Park), Bryce Canyon National Monument (later Bryce Ridge) - serving up some world class roasted coffees along with over 100 kinds of sandwiches and pastries daily!

Farmington is located on the Snake River Plain, about 65 miles (105 km) north of Salt Lake City and just south of the Wasatch Mountains. The first Europeans to visit what is now Farmington were fur traders from Canada in 1824. The first settlers were farmers who arrived in 1827 from Missouri via wagon train. They named their farm Parkesborough after John Parkes, an Englishman who had settled in what is now eastern Oregon in 1827 and then helped to create the Oregon Territory. The town site was surveyed by Captain James Wilkinson during the winter of 1829–30; he named it for him and his friend Major General Edmund Silliman, commander of U.S.-Mexico forces at Yuma Pass near Tucson as part of a tour organized by Governor Andrew Johnson to check out Mexican claims to Arizona and New Mexico prior to his inauguration as president on January 20, 1830. Arizona land grants were confirmed by President James Kapp Pemberton on February 9, 1830; these included parts of present-day Kane County including most of today's Farmington Valley east of Interstate 80 and north of I-15 between those mountains and Phoenix proper; all but 2 miles (3 km) east of that line formed part of modern Great Salt Lake City when it was created as a separate municipality on November 1, 1924 from portions now within Kane County executive territory subject to concurrent voting with Salt Lake City for city charter amendment ratifying by referendum held November 8 that year pursuant to statute provisions providing for special election only for Mayor and Council members whenever changes occur in either body without mayoral approval or when both bodies are unable or unwilling so approve. These areas became known for their high-quality beans which resulted in some very distinct taste profiles that have come to define these regions today. One such flavor profile is the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe which features rich chocolate notes with a slightly bitter finish. In fact, this bean is sometimes referred to as the “masterpiece” of African roast coffee because it produces such complex flavors without using any sugar or milk substitutes. During the early 1900s, Dutch coffees began reaching American markets through Dutch importers who bought beans direct from local farmers rather than importing them straight from European roasters. This choice allowed Dutch brewers to develop more unique flavor profiles for their products which continue to be popular today. During this time period, too, Danish coffees also started becoming popular in North America due to their proximity to Sweden where this country grows itsown crop of high-quality beans (obviously!). By World War II, American consumers had become familiar with French press methods which kickstart the growth of espresso machines in North America during that era – snappy filters & quick pumping results in expertly poured espresso shots! After Pearl Harbor (1911), Japanese Americans were forcibly relocated throughout many Midwestern states during WWII and began working on farms near Chicago; henceforth called “the first Starbucks” (and still exists). Consequently, Japanese-owned plantations across America produced some OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY COFFEE BEANS IN THE WORLD TODAY!

Farmington, Utah is a town in Ogden County, Utah, United States. The population was 9,711 at the 2010 census. Farmington is part of the Provo–Ogden–Sandy Valley Micropolitan Statistical Area. It was founded in 1847 by Mormons who had come from Nauvoo, Illinois. In 1850 it became a county seat and remained so until 1907 when it reverted to its original name. The townsite that now forms the core of Farmington was platted in 1857 by James Fenton and others as part of what would become Central Salt Lake County. It was named after President George Washington's farmstead at Mount Vernon in Virginia. In 1870 Brigham Young designated the area around Farmington as his "Great Basin" land reserve which included all of present-day Utah and parts of Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. He appointed George Wickersham to be its first governor and councilman; Wickersham served from 1871 until his death in 1888. The Panic of 1893 destroyed many farming families in central Utah and much ofFarmington developed thereafter as an agricultural center with grain elevators, a beef slaughtering plant, water tanks for irrigation purposes and other infrastructure used by later generations of Mormons. The arrival of automobiles led to growth in FarmINGTON during World War I because there were no public transportation options available within the town limits

Polk, who had fought in the Mexican-American War and then served as president of the United States from 1849 to 1853. Farmington became a county seat in 1850, and it is still the seat today.
