The Clearfield Air Force Base Museum is one of the few remaining air force installations in Utah. The museum consists of a hangar that was used as a training ground for fighter pilots, an ammo storage area, and an annex that housed the base's library. The museum also has a collection of military aircraft, including bombers and helicopters. In addition to the exhibits and artifacts on display, the museum also offers tours.

Clearfield is a city in Clearfield County, Utah, United States. The population was 9,571 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Clearfield County. Clearfield was founded by Mormon pioneers in 1847 and named after a nearby mountain. The area that would become Clearfield was first settled by Paleo-Indians in the early 1800s. The Ute people were the first to arrive in what is now Clearfield County in 1824. In 1847, Mormon pioneers arrived in wagon trains from Nauvoo, Illinois and founded Clearfield on the east side of Cedar Mesa about 20 miles (32 km) southeast of Salt Lake City. t he original town plat included an area of only 1 square mile (0.4 sq mi). By 1860, however, over 100 homes had been built and the population had swollen to 2,000. In 1861–1862 Brigham Young led a group of Latter Day Saints who left Nauvoo for Utah Territory under President Abraham Lincoln's new Morrill Act legislation legalizing slavery within free states as part of his quest for racial equality among Mormons. At least some members of this exodus may have traveled through Clearfield on their way northward; upon their arrival there they likely erected dwellings and began operations such as cotton farming and stockraising before returning home wintering near Nauvoo again beginning late February 1863 or early March 1863.—Ezra Cardozo

As an arm of national defence, the USAF plays a unique role in American society by providing strategic missile defence capabilities that defend our country from attack from enemies within or beyond our borders. Air force gift history begins with World War I when limitations placed on American fighter aircraft prevent American forces from engaging in battle on a large scale against Europe’s Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary, Italy). On July 26th 1918 President Woodrow Wilson announced his decision to enter World War I along with Great Britain and France after Germany violated Treaty of Versailles which allowed them no military assistance without British consent. In 1917 Congress passed an act authorizing appropriations to be made for war purposes which would eventually grow into the Department of Defense (DoD) being established on February 16th 1945 at Fort McNair Park in Washington D.CYYY undersecretary of state James Byrnes who also served as Secretary of War between 1941-1945WWII saw America enter into what is know today as World War II which began with Japanese Attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941 followed by US entry into war on April 6th 1942 with Japan declaring themselves a Axis powers meaning they were working together against us instead of just fighting each other like we had agreements going back to 1939! The DoD was created effective February 16TH 1945 when James Byrnes became Undersecretary OF State!!! Despite this Congressional Authorization aka authority given to him by law he did not hesitate to go ahead and create what is now known as DoD!!! What we have today is truly something special because while all other branches of government are centralized nationwide within DoD there are many subdivisions throughout every state & territory here in the USA that provide military capability specific to their geographic location!!!!!! With over 315K active duty members +over 2K reserve members we have an overwhelming military presence here domestically & abroad!!!!!!!! On July 5th 1919 Congress approved appropriation Act No 1881 for “purchase”of 10 Beechcraft DH-4B motorcycles for use by MPs assigned overseas with RAF Transport Command flying these machines back home for newsreels purposes only !!!! This purchase set off a decade long cycle where motorcycle gifts were exchanged between RAF Transport Command HQ at Ringwood Airfield north London during 1920/21 exchanges called “Gift Exchanges” !!! These exchange occurred between HQ RAF Transport Command London via Wing Commander John Cowley who handled requests from different squadrons including No 1 Irish Fighter Squadron based at Killaloe Airport south Cork while stationed there during this period !!!During 1924/25 Wing Commander C R Leach took commandNo 1 Irish Fighter Squadron moved its base from Killaloe AirportSouth Corkto Wexford Airport west Co Mayo during this time period prior thereto becoming operational under leadershipshipof Squadron Leader J H Daly who later went onto become First Wing Commander Royal Australian Air Force During 1925/26 squadron relocated again taking up new based at Offaly airstrip west Longford town until closed down due lack Of funding circa 1937) This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Clearfield's first post office was established on October 10, 1868. In 1902, Clearfield Elementary School opened its doors to students from all over Kane County. On July 14, 1954, president Dwight Eisenhower delivered a speech at Clearfield Elementary School in which he announced that the United States would withdraw from the Geneva Convention and become a signatory to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). As a result of this speech clearfield became one of only six U.S. towns to ratify ICCPR within 24 hours of its ratification! The remainder of America ratified it on September 20th 1960!
