Nichols Jr., became president and CEO of Nichols Shoeing Company after his father’s death in 1913. The company continues to grow under Captains Jens E. Nichols Jr., Pat Condon (founder and CEO) and now Curtis Osborne (CEO).

Seabrook is a small town located in Comal County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,561 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Antonio–New Braunfels Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded by Isaac Seabrook in 1847 as a trading post on the Brazos River. In 1853, Seabrook and his wife built a log cabin near present-day Seabrook High School for themselves and their six children. By 1860, the Seabrosons had four additional children and decided to move to what is now downtown Seabrook. They erected a school house from logs they found around the corner from their cabin. The first teacher in Seabrook was Mrs. Fenton who taught 3rd-4th grade for one year before moving on to teach at Centralia Academy during the early 1870s when that school moved to its current location south of IH 35W near Harlingen Boulevard. In 1881, J L Haskell opened a general store in downtown Seabrooke which became known as "The Haskell Store." After Haskell died in 1893, his son John Haskins took over his business until it closed in 1906 due to economic problems caused by World War I; however, it reopened two years later under new ownership with an increased emphasis on agriculture because of shortages in world materials brought about by war). In 1924, A & M Manufacturing Company began making radios and other electronics products out of downtown Seagrave until it merged into GEICO Corporation in 1951 (the first time GEICO had entered Texas). In 1930/31 local artist Ethel Woods produced paintings at her home between Third Street and Elm Street NW then sold them door-to-door through her husband's gallery called "The Gallery". That same year local lawyer Harry Wurtzel formed Wurtzel & Sons law firm which still practices today at 301 Main Street SW Suite 1008; this building served as both Wurtzel& Sons law office and administrative headquarters until 1978 when it burned down (it has since been replaced by another building).
