The first national guard gift was a rifle. A group of citizens donated six rifles to the PA National Guard in 1932. This was followed by other donations that year totaling twenty-four rifles. These donations helped support the war effort and gave soldiers an opportunity to get involved in their community.later on, other states joined Pennsylvania in becoming part of the United States military and began receiving gifts from residents. As these states became part of the US military, they also received new donation options for giving Gifts to their respective units of service members including weapons and equipment as well as books, movies, etc. Each state’s unit received different items depending on what was needed for service or combat within that state’s military establishment at that time period; however all gifts were symbolic and meant to show appreciation for servicemen and women who answered our call to arms. Aliquippa is a borough in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 9,521 at the 2010 census. Aliquippa is located on the southern edge of Beaver County and is bordered by the towns of Hazleton to the east and Johnstown to the south and west. It forms a small part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The first settlers in what is now Aliquippa were farmers who arrived from Virginia in 1784. They built homes near present-day Hazleton while they continued to farm in what is now Aliquippa Township. In 1814, they organized as a borough with land grants from Pennsylvanians James Logan and George Washington Harris. The name was chosen for its beauty: "A little white town on an affluent stream" (according to one source). aloskee means "place where there are apples"; "aluskee" became anglicized as "Aliquippa". When Englishman William Butler visited PA in 1795 he found that most people spoke Susquehanna German which he had difficulty understanding; so he changed it back to Italian and began calling it Altoquippa meaning "upper creek". In 1802, when Pennsylvania took over New York's western border, Altoquippa became part of Beaver County because that was where James Logan's grant lay. As time passed other grants were given away including parts of Holmesburg Borough (now part of Johnstown) and West Goshen Township (now part of Hazleton). In 1881, when Beaver County was created out of portions of Delaware and Montgomery counties it included Altoquippa within its boundaries making it an official borough with its own government! In 1907 Shuman Bros., makers of chewing tobacco products decided to move their factory from Boston, Massachusetts due to manufacturing regulations put into place by FDA during World War I; however this did not stop them from donating money towards building a school for poor children in Altoquipa called Scripps School Our Lady Of Mount Carmelite which opened its doors on December 1st 1909! In 1924 local miller Ed Beasley donated land for a high school which would become known as OSH High School; this gift helped change the faceof Aliquippa forever!
The National Guard has a rich history that can be traced back to the Revolutionary War. The Continental Congress created the Continental Army on July 4, 1775, and ordered all citizens of the United States to join it. On November 16, 1777, George Washington was elected president of the United States and appointed Lieutenant Colonel John Dickinson as commander of the Continental Army’s First Brigade. On December 15, 1778, General Benedict Arnold sent a detachment of Patriot troops from Massachusetts to Yorktown in hopes of liberating British prisoners. When they reached Yorktown on January 29th, Arnold learned that Lord Cornwallis had evacuated Richmond and retreated across North Carolina to South Carolina with his army. However, this intelligence did not reach General Washington until February 14th and he decided not to pursue Cornwallis. This allowed Cornwallis time to reinforce his army and retake Virginia without having been forced into battle. In 1814, the federal government purchased 10 companies of infantry from state militias for $2 million dollars. These units were known as “National Guard Companies” because they were not conditioned for combat or given any specific mission other than militia duty. The first unit was organized on October 1st under Major General James Houstoun at Fort Erie in Buffalo New York City. The company was made up mostly of men who had served in the War of 1812 and who were too old or weak to serve in any other capacity during the new war against Mexico. The National Guard continued its function as a reserve military force throughout most of Reconstruction following World War II until it was disbanded by President Harry S Truman in 1949 effective nationwide except for certain training areas located within each state police department

Aliquippa is a city in Butler County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 5,362 at the 2000 census. Aliquippa is the county seat of Butler County. It is part of the Philadelphia–Allentown–Bethlehem metropolitan area. The name "Aliquippa" comes from the Potawatomi word "aliquipi", meaning "acres." The first European to visit what is now Aliquippa Township was Giovanni da Verrazzano in 1524 and he called it Paceville. The first buildings in what is now Aliquippa were erected by Isaac Watts in 1795 and they are still standing today as a business district known as Watts Square. In 1812, Colonel John Fenton purchased 811 acres (309 ha) of land east of present-day Aliquippa and named it Fenton Township after himself. He built a log cabin on this property which served as his home until his death in 1838. In 1852, John Wirt bought 1,200 acres (500 ha) of land north of present-day AlquIPPawa from Colonel Fenton for $5 per acre ($20 per km). This became Wirt Township and later Beaver County when Beaver County was created from Butler County on December 16, 1907. On October 12, 1914, the borough of Bellefonte merged with Beaver County to form the new borough of AlquIPPawa which incorporated on February 14th 1915. On July 1st 1898 there was an act passed by Congress recognizing James Hays's discovery west of Allegheny Mountains including all or most of what is now Butler County as proprietary territory within Mexico for American citizens only subject to such laws as may be established by treaty between that country and us; provided always that no such claim should be made against any township lying within our limits...This Act vested exclusive jurisdiction over all current or future lands westward from Buford’s Ferry Road with their natural resources and waters within our boundaries with respect thereto forever into the hands either party to said treaty." At this time Indian Territory lay near Pittsburgh so no Tequestan people were affected but some Spanish speaking people were who felt taken advantage by Ulysses S Grant's government during Mexican War because they could not own land like other Americans did
