The Yukon Army National Guard was organized on November 3, 1907. The organization was split into two brigades one headquartered in Whitehorse and the other in Dawson City. The first unit to be activated was the 9th Infantry Regiment which arrived in Whitehorse on February 8, 1908. On July 1, 1909 the brigade headquarters withdrew to Dawson City and were redesignated as Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion of the 9th Infantry Regiment. The battalion was disbanded on October 15, 1909 when it was absorbed into the 4th Infantry Brigade. The 2nd Battalion of the 9th Infantry Regiment arrived in Whitehorse on January 1, 1912 and became part of the newly formed 5th Cavalry Division. It also became a part of Field Force No. 6 which garrisoned Fort Yukon until 1916 when it moved to Fort Hindman where it remained until World War I ended on April 11, 1918. The 2nd Battalion re-activated at Fort Hindman on September 25, 1916 as part of Field Force No. 7 which garrisoned Kit Carson Barracks before departing for overseas deployment within days of activation with Major General Arthur Miles commanding Ninth Army Group located at Ypres Belgium under command of Lieutenant General John Jellicoe On October 10 1918 after an arduous march from England they relieved Canadian troops at Bois de Grave Cemetery during Operation Overlord which resulted in Nazi Germany’s defeat that marked the beginning of World War II

The Yukon, Oklahoma Army National Guard was organized on January 15, 1907. The original unit was the 4th Infantry Regiment and it was first called the 1st Infantry Regiment. On July 1, 1907, the regiment was redesignated as the 5th Infantry Regiment and it was first called the 2nd Infantry Regiment. On November 3, 1912, the regiment was redesignated as the 7th Infantry Regiment and it became a volunteer unit with Model T vehicles. It operated out of Fort Sill from 1916 to 1917. In 1917, it moved to Camp Roberts in south Texas and also operated out of Fort Worth from 1918 to 1919. From 1919 until 1933, it served as an all-volunteer battalion in China Service Field Unit No. 604 at Nanking City under United States Forces Far East Command. At that time, Korea War began and on September 25, 1951 mobilization order No. 10 activated the 7th Infantry Regiment for service in that war with full equipment including tanks and artillery pieces which arrived at Camp Shelby April 9-10 1951 under command of Brigadier General Clyde Aikenberger who had been selected by President Harry S Truman for this assignment After arriving at camp they were initially assigned to company strength but later increased to battalion size where they remained untilactivated again on October 8 1958 when they reverted back to company strength once more

Yukon was a location in Oklahoma Territory during the early 20th century. The area now known as Yukon was part of the Kiowa and Comanche tribes. The first European settlers arrived in 1887, and by 1907, there were over 100 people living in the area. In 1912, the territorial government moved to Medicine Lodge, Kansas, and Yukon became a district of that city. Yukon saw some growth during World War I and II; however, its population peaked at around 1,000 in 1950. Since then, it has gradually declined due to various factors including loss of land to development and a lack of economic opportunities. Today, Yukon is home to a small community of about 50 people and few businesses. Much of its history remains largely unknown to the general public; however, there are several sources available which can provide some insight into its past. One source for information on Yukon's history is an oral tradition called the "White Thunder." This story tells how white settlers first came to the area in 1887 when they discovered gold coins buried near what is now town of Whitecourt on the south side of River Of No Return (now Watonga Peak). After finding this valuable resource, they began exploration and discovered more gold coins throughout their travels through out Oklahoma Territory until they reached what is now present-day Yukon in 1912.The White Thunder oral tradition also explains why life on reservations was difficult while under Indian rule: because Indians could not own land or build homes like white citizens could - instead they lived off handouts from their chiefs/governors. Another source for information on Yukon's past comes from local newspapers which were published between 1889-1911 during Territorial times when much information about life on reservations was shared between residents and government officials along with news from outside events such as wars fought elsewhere in America.(See: History Of The United States At Home And Abroad) During these years many photos and articles were published depicting everyday life on reservations with locals discussing hunting expeditions or reporting back about military engagements taking place nearby without fear of reprisal from nearby whites who still considered these areas Indian territory
