The Choctaw Air Force has a long history of deploying gifts to its citizens. In 1951, the AF gifted two Ki-48 helicopters to the city of Choctaw. The helicopters were used for law enforcement and firefighting services, and they remain in use today. In 1957, the AF donated two F-4 Phantom jets to Choctaw AFB. These planes were used as fighter bombers and served in World War II and Korea. The AF also donated several Humvees to Choctaw in 1984. These vehicles were used for patrol and traffic control in the area. In 1997, the AF gifted three C-130 Hercules transports to Choctaw AFB. These transports are used for troop transportation and airlift operations throughout Oklahoma. Additionally, the AF donated an F-15 Eagle jet toChoctaw in 2001. This plane was used for fighter training and support operations throughout Oklahoma.

The Choctaw Air Force mobilized in 1941 as a result of the United States entry into World War II. The unit was activated at Choctaw Municipal Airport and initially served as an aircrew training squadron. In 1946, the wing was redesignated the 9th Bombardment Wing and activated at Tinker Air Force Base. The 9th BW flew Boeing B-17s equipped with high explosive bombs and became one of the first bombardment wings in the USAF. During its time at Tinker, the wing also operated radar systems, manufactured munitions, conducted combat missions against targets within Japan and participated in various exercises. In 1972, when Tactical Air Command (TAC) was established underAF jurisdiction, the 9th BW became part of TAC's 1st Bombardment Wing. The wing remained stationed at Tinker until it relocated to Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. At Wright-Patterson AFB, the wing continued to fly Boeing E-3 Sentinels equipped with AGM-45 Hellfire missiles for ground support operations against Iraqi forces occupying Kuwait before transitioning to F-15 Eagle fighter aircraft for aerial refueling operations during Operation Alliedtick/Desert Shield in 1995–1996. On 16 March 2001, when AF units were transferred from Unified commands to theaterwide organization known as Operation Noble Eagle,[1]the 9th BG moved from Wright Patterson AFB to Al Udeid AB Qatar where it began flying Lockheed Martin C-130J Hercules transports carrying supplies and troops across several wars zones including Afghanistan and Iraq.[2] In 2007 they were again deployed to Afghanistan alongside their partnered RAF Tornado GR4s which relieved them on 15 October 2007[3]
Choctaw is a small town in Choctaw County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,856 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Choctaw County. The Choctaw Nation (Hidatsa tribe) occupied this area for more than two hundred years before it was granted to the United States as part of the Treaty of 1819. The first European sighting of what is now Choctaw Territory was by Spanish captain José de Escobar on November 5, 1541 when he noticed "a great body of people wearing headdresses and war paint" on a creek near present day Muskogee Bayou. The name "Choctaw" comes from a Creek word meaning "to trade with." In 1819, U.S. traders built Fort Gibson on an east-west trading route between Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania and Mobile, Alabama. This fort served as a base for American Indian traders travelling along that route before being moved to its current location in 1825 at Fort Sill in Tulsa County after it became apparent that Mexico would not allow Americans to travel through their territory without permission from Spain. In 1837, the Chickasaws were driven out of their traditional hunting grounds in western Arkansas by white settlers and began moving south into what is now Oklahoma Territory seeking land to settle and protect against white encroachment which they saw as an attempt by Europe to take over their cultures and resources. In response to this invasion, the Cherokee Nation called forth General James Ewell's Army northwest of Wichita Falls on May 12,1837 in order to drive out these intruders and protect their traditional lands which had been ceded by treaty treaty with Spain two years earlier; however only 2 miles wide around Confederate Camp Bowie were any fighting occurred while most other areas fell into Indian hands until October 14th when Lt Col John Chivington arrived with 10 thousand cavalrymen intending revenge upon those responsible for driving them off our ancestral homeland; instead we found ourselves surrounded by friendly Indians who had done nothing wrong! This event led directly to future events such as America's Civil War where both sides appealed primarily to Native nations rather than relying solely on European Union forces stationed within their borders dueally during hostilities thus averting open conflict between empire builders France & England; furthermore throughout World Wars I-III numerous attempts were made unsuccessfully including Operation Neptune's Spear resulting in many civilian casualties inflicted upon both allies & enemies alike despite prior assurances from high government officials about using less lethal means As technology has progressed so too has understanding of human behavior yielding everincreasing opportunities for law enforcement agencies worldwide have become increasingly reliant upon video confessionals (VCs), augmented reality (AR), text/voice recognition software intrusion detection systems (IDS), artificial intelligence (AIs) counterintelligence activities as well as facial recognition software investigations aimed at identifying terrorists or criminals from mugshots or surveillance footage

Choctaw City grew rapidly during the late 19th century and into the 20th century; it reached heights of prosperity that have never been duplicated elsewhere on Indian Country. The early 21st century saw significant challenges faced by Choctaw City; however, through government investment and public-private partnerships it is slowly reversing course and returning to its former glory: as one of Indian Country's most vibrant cities with excellent cultural attractions for all ages
