Twinsburg is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Columbiana County. The population was 26,887 at the 2010 census, making it the most populous municipality in Columbiana County. In 1827, they erected a small log cabin near what is now Main Street to serve as their home until they acquired more property nearby and built a larger cabin in 1830 which served as their courthouse until 1840 when they moved it to their current location northeast of downtown on Delaware Street between Highways 97 and 78 (later State Route 5). When Ohio became a state in 1911, Twinsburg became its county seat; however, due to growth within Columbiana County, Twinburg remained its municipal center for many years afterwards. With population declines throughout much of Cleveland Township outside Twinsburg limits during Prohibition era alcohol prohibition, twin villages formed around both Meadowvale Avenue south of downtown central Twinsburg (the core village) and East Side Drive north/west of central Twinsburgh proper including such smaller townships as West Chesterfield Township adjoining Newark Hills bordering Canfield Township (the rural township), Brownstown Township adjoining Hilliard Township (the suburban township), Niles Heights adjoining Strongsville Township (a rural township), Xenia Municipality incorporating all but one eastern block lying northwest/southeastof Dayton via I-90 exit ramp located just east side Of Akron Municipal Stadium thenceforth known simply as "Xenia" after then Governor Richard Meckel's wife Bettie Maurer XENIA - with Main Street running through both villages - these three miniature townships were often better able to support themselves than larger municipalities could because they had no services or infrastructure provided byCLEVELAND COUNTY government save for police protection and minor highway designation improvements unique to each village.( See chart below) On November 3rd 2006 14 year old twins Ayden & Aden Alverson were involved in an accident that left them armless surgeons have surgery on October 13th 2007 Ayden was also born without arms

Twinsburg is a small town in the northwestern corner of Ohio, United States. The population was 5,824 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lucas County metropolitan area. Twinburg was founded in 1811 by brothers Peter and John Pickering. The first settler to arrive in what is now Twinsburg was Andrew Higgins, who built a cabin on the bank of the Little Cuyahoga River. The Pickering brothers were later joined by their father, James Pickering, who arrived in 1814 from Connecticut with his family. James Pickering helped found Waverly Center (now Waverly Heights) and started ferrying goods between Twinsburg and Waverly Falls on the Cuyahoga River. In 1827, JamesPickering married Anna Ladd from Tiffin Township (now Findlay Township). Anna Pickering was also a native of Connecticut and had come to live with her husband in Twinsburg when he purchased land here from David Sprague for $5 per acre. She became one of Twinbergers' most important social leaders and played an important role in developing the community's economy and culture. Eventually, many other settlers followed JamesPickering into Twinsburg – among them William Whitehurst, Anthony Whitman, Isaac Backus – all of whom had large families and wanted to be near each other so they could raise their children together. By 1830, there were more than 100 people living in Twinsburg; it had become an agricultural center with stores selling produce and meat products as well as clothierries specializing in overalls and aprons made from fine cotton twill fabric imported from England or France. In 1835-36, two outbreaks of smallpox killed more than 60% of Twinbergers under age 25; this event has been called "the great tragedy" of Twinbergers' history because it led to increased social tensions that continue to this day." In 1840-41,[1] twin sisters Esther Fenton (1831-1910) and Emma Hale (1833-1915) died after contracting smallpox while visiting their brother Amos at home on Long Island City Peninsula;[2][3] this event has been called "the twins’ death sentence".[4] EstherFenton's body was never found but her sister Emma Hale's remains have been buried at Greenlawn Cemetery since she died unmarried at age 21 years old during World War I.[5] After EstherFenton's death local newspapers published advertisements for single female applicants for marriage within 150 miles radius so that any eligible gentleman might find her widowhood attractive; no man took advantage of these ads however.[6][7] Additionally due to increasing religious fervor around this time many young women left agriculture jobs behind to marry men instead,[8][9][10] which impacted future economic development within Twinsburgh due to lack if available workforce
Twinsburg is a city in and the county seat of Trumbull County, Ohio, United States. The population was 6,819 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland–Akron–Canton metropolitan area. The first Europeans to visit what is now Twinsburg were traders and missionaries working for the Spanish mission system in central Ohio in the 16th century. The town's name comes from two Dutch settlers who bought land here in 1795: Hendrick Twinsen and Johannes Vrankenburg. In 1814, James Kapp set up a trading post near what is now downtown Twinsburg while he was exploring new land west of Cleveland. He named his new settlement after his brother-in-law—Hendrick Kapp—and called it Kappstown after him. On November 1, 1835, two weeks before the American Civil War started, local residents (some of whom had also migrated from Holland) voted to secede from Ohio and form their own country, known as the Union States of America. On December 12th, 1835 – three days after Cincinnati's incorporation as a city – Twinburg voted to become its own town by popular vote instead of affiliating with Cincinnati. In 1839, John Husted opened a mill on Saturday night which became one of Twinsburg's most famous landmarks; it continues to be operated as an antique store today by his son Keith Husted Jr.. From 1839 until 1862 when water transportation became available through canals across Lake Erie, Twinburgh depended exclusively on boat traffic for its goods and passengers; however this changed when twin canals were constructed parallel to each other about south of town and river shipping declined thereafter In 1861 Captain George Stephenson built a steamboat plying between Cleveland and Akron called " Stephenson's Ferry" based in Twinburgh Landing on the River Cuyahoga; this made it possible for locals to purchase produce directly from farmers along both sides of the river without having to go all the way downriver or wait for boats returning back upriver
