The Ohio Air National Guard units that serve in Twinsburg include the 182d Fighter Wing (the "Blue Devils"), which is responsible for providing air support for military operations in and around Twinsburg; the 184th Fighter Wing, which is responsible for providing fighter-bomber/air-defense support to local government, law enforcement, and other civic organizations; and the 191st Attack Squadron, which provides aerial refueling services to coalition forces. In addition to its role as a supporter of military operations in and around Twinsburg, the Ohio Air National Guard also provides civil airport security services. The Ohio Air National Guard's 436th Fighter Wing is a unit of the United States Air Force. It is located in Twinsburg, Ohio, and flies the F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft. The wing was organized at Wright-Patterson AFB on November 1, 1947 as the 436th Fighter-Bomber Wing. The wing was reorganized on October 1, 1957 as the 436th Tactical Fighter Wing and accepted its first combat mission against North Korea on October 8, 1957.
Twinsburg is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio, located on the Scioto River. The population was 26,869 at the 2010 census. Twinburg is home to Job Corps and other post-secondary education institutions as well as numerous small businesses and factories. The airforce gift history goes back to the beginning of aviation. On December 6, 1915, America's first military flying school was founded by Lt. Colonel George C. Mead and his assistant Capt. John H. White with two Curtiss pushers aircraft donation from the Wright brothers. The first planes were actually bought for $2,500 each from a local manufacturer in Dayton Ohio and used at an Air Service Base near Albuquerque New Mexico for training of American pilots during World War I. In 1917, the United States Congress passed the National Defense Act which established the U.SAAF (the predecessor organization to today's USAF). The NDA called for "a national air force" that could include bombers, fighters, transport planes and reconnaissance aircraft as needed in order to protect our nation's interests abroad and defend against any potential enemy attack or invasion on our soil. In addition to these new acquisitions, other large donations came in during this time such as Lockheed Martin Company donating their P-38 Lightning fighter jet prototype program to help support the war effort; Boeing donated their B-29 Superfortress bomber program; Douglas Aircraft donated their C-47 Skytrain airplane program; Corsair Aircraft donated their P-51 Mustang fighter plane program; Grumman Corporation donated their F-14 Tomcat fighter jet squadron project and much more! When World War II began on September 2nd 1939, both America's military forces had been formed with a primary mission: To defeat Nazi Germany! The USAF was created with specific plans in mind such as providing strategic bombing capability through Bomber Command while also conducting combat operations in Europe against Axis forces including Luftwaffe bombers as well as attacking shipping off American shores! After successfully fighting off European invasions throughout 1941 along with continuing strategic bombing raids against German targets across Europe however things changed when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941aka starting World War II!!! Aftermath of Pearl Harbor led to huge changes within the USAF including Edson Air Force Base being closed down due to its location close to Japanese ports making it difficult for allied forces VHF radio communications between Units became extremely difficult! With no waypoint established within 30 miles of Japan proper Allied commanders decided it would be smarter not just build airstrips/ground facilities but also create long range escort carriers like USS Enterprise (CVN 75) which Cecil Epps purchased from Ford Motor Company! This project was ultimately successful leading directly into Operation Torch - code name for Allied landings on Sicily - which followed one week later on October 12th 1943!!!!! This aggressive campaign resulted in over 1 million casualties by both Axis forces and Allies combined!!!!!!!!!! The Strategic Bombing Survey later determined that without strategic bombing raids like Hiroshima and Nagasaki those towns would have all been destroyed!!!!!! Losing over 100% of populated areas is something that will never be forgotten or repeated!!!!! Aftermath of WWII saw many changes within both America's military forces withAFSAF becoming far more diverse than it once was!!! This paper will focus specifically on gifts given by members of the USAF Gift History Committee who have played a significant role within this organization over the years!!!

Twinsburg, Ohio is a small town in the Allegheny Mountains of western Pennsylvania. The population was 6,757 as of the 2010 census. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The first settlers in Twinsburg were James and Betty Green who arrived from British America in 1795. They had two children: John and Betsey. James died young and his widow, Betty raised their three children alone for many years until she met George Washington Greene (1796-1860) who helped her with her farm work and eventually became her husband. They had six children: James, Salmon P., Andrew J., Clarissa W., Cornelius F., and Hester M. The settlement grew rapidly because of its location near the old Connellsville Railroad line which connected Pittsburgh with Philadelphia through the anthracite coal fields of central PA. In 1810, they built a log cabin on what is now State Route 9 near present day Clinton Township. In 1812 they laid out a township, named after their father James Green; it included parts of what are now Boroughs Clinton, Greensburg and Striped Ranges (now Monroeville). On December 12th 1830, President Andrew Jackson defined Monroe County as follows: "All that part of the United States lying east of a line running due north from Lake Erie to said river's mouth…. excepting Delaware county…." This included Twinsburg Township which lay within Adams County….. so when Adams County was created in 1836 it added Twinsburgh Township to its boundaries…….. By 1840 there were over 250 people living in Twinsburgh Township……………twenty miles south east of Pittsburgh…… total population over 600……………………………………………………………………………. When Pennsylvanian statehood came about in 1846 Govt established government at Chambersburg……………..the Twinburgers decided that they would move to stateside…..so the family took up residence on October 11th 1847 at 711 North State Road which later became known as Exchange Alley……………and during those early days life was very difficult because no one knew how to get along with other peoples’ families…. until finally someHOW or another we managed to get along together
On February 17, 1836, the first steamboat to visit Twinsburg, Ohio was launched. The boat was called the "Natchez". It transported passengers and mail between Cincinnati and Toledo.
