Seven Hills, Ohio is a town in the state of Ohio, United States. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area. The first settler in what is now Seven Hills was John Elder who arrived in 1796. He and his family founded a log cabin on the site of present day Forest Glen Drive. In 1814, he married Mary Preston and they moved to what is now Green Township where they raised four children: Deborah, John Jr., Peter, and Anna (née McMillan). Deborah later married Elisha Blackledge and had six children: Edward (Ed), Addie (Addie), Mildred (Mildred), Hubert (Hubert), Marionella (Marionetta), and Everett Augustus Anthony Blackledge III. On July 25th 1821, Elder's son John Augustus Anthony Blackledge II was born in Green Township after he and his wife Sarah were married there that day. Soon afterwards their son Ebenezer was born and soon after that their daughter-in-law Nancy came over to live with them on East High Street when her husband decided to move away from Cincinnati to start a new business venture called The Elder & Gail Merchant Tailor Shop which he did not finish up very well because of financial troubles. In 1827, when Sixteenth Ward Alderman David Blackburn purchased 200 acres east of Seven Hills from George Brown for $2 per acre to create Stroudsburg Township, it became clear that Seven Hills would be isolated if it remained within Blackburn's Ward; so on February 14th 1830 Samuel Morse set out from Dayton with his brother Alfred Russel Morse Sr., their wives Lucy Ann Hallowell Morse and Marilla Coleman Morse as well as five hundred dollars worth of goods for establishment at Springboro outside of Dayton. On March 10th 1830 they erected a wooden frame house known as The House on Elm which served as both their home until November 4th 1830 when they moved into The Old State Capitol building located at 715 Main Street #1 which served as their office until December 12th 1830 when they moved into The New State Capitol building located at 501 First Avenue #4 which served as their office until January 12th 1831 when David Blackburn resigned from his seat on the City Council effective December 15th 1830 due to health reasons after serving two terms consecutively without interruption since 1792; thus Anderson County was created! Ebenezer Elder continued farming while living in Dayton but by 1840 he had lost most all his land including much of what is now Seven Hills due to Disease brought over with British immigrants during the Great American Famine years 1800-1849 aka "the Great Irish Potato Famine". By 1850 Ebenezer had sold all but one piece of property remaining in his name totaling about 640 acres/19 square miles including parts of present day Lisbon Twp./Forest Glen Dr./Green Ln./Lisbon Rd./East High St./Seymour Rd.- total loss including him losing about $4000+/- worth of equipment plus interest payments amounting to about $5000/year+. In 1865 Ebenezer died aged 83 years leaving seven daughters behind viz.: Deborah ($25000/$50 per year cash value) Anna ($102500/$25 per year cash value) Edith ($8000/year cash value) Marionetta ($6000/year cash value) Hubert ($4000/yearcash value) Everett Augustus Anthony Blackledge III ($10000/year real estate rights title valued at $500000+)

Seven Hills is a census-designated place in Lucas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 9,856 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland–Akron–Canton Combined Statistical Area. The community was founded in 1836 as a result of land sales from the Hudsons Bay Company. The first post office was established in Seven Hills on October 14, 1837. The name "Seven Hills" derived from its location on the hill that overlooked the town and its surrounding area. A school was built in 1870 and became an academy in 1907; it closed in 1922. A steel mill operated here until 1957, when it closed due to competition from other mills in nearby Youngstown and Mahoning Valley. The mill site now houses a recreation center and several businesses including Ford tractor dealership, IHOP restaurant, Dry Goods store and Home Depot store. In 2000, Seven Hills received national attention when it became one of two locations chosen for inclusion within President Bill Clinton's historic First Inaugural Committee headquarters project known as "Operation Neptune's Spear." The facility has been used ever since as offices for various government bodies including the Federal Reserve System and Homeland Security Department among others.
