The Coast Guard has been providing services to the community in Seven Hills, Ohio since 1892. The first coast guard station was built on the current site of the landfill in 1896. In 1934, the member station at Seven Hills was moved to its present location and renamed as Station Three. The current incarnation of Station Three is located at 4474 State Road 606 in Seven Hills. The Coast Guard’s mission is to provide maritime protection, including Search and Rescue, law enforcement, and coastal hazard control; promote public safety by providing information on weather conditions; and maintain a readiness posture for incidents involving vessels or people. The Coast Guard graveyard contains the remains of over 50 officers and men who have served with distinction with the United States Coast Guard. Seven Hills is a community in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It lies on the southern border of Cleveland and is bordered by Lake Erie to the north, Warren Township to the east, Euclid Township to the south, and Independence Township to the west. The village was founded in 1812 as part of an effort to create a town on both sides of what is now Cedar Street between Rocky River Road and First National Bank Drive. The name "Seven Hills" was chosen because it was one mile from each of seven hills that made up downtown Cleveland. At first, only men were allowed to own land in Seven Hills; later women also became citizens. The first post office opened in 1816 and remained open until it closed in 1907. The Village had two banks which are still there today - First American bank and Trust Company of Cleveland - although their current building no longer stands: First National bank (now HSBC) erected its first building in 1829 and Second American bank (now JBL) built its first building in 1835. In 1870–71 when much of what is now Cherry Hill Terrace was developed, Seven Hills voted not to annex any nearby communities with similar names- including Highland Park and Mayfield Heights- opting instead for annexation by Cleveland itself. After years of wrangling over boundaries between villages within Cuyahoga County, Seven Hills finally annexed Highland Park on October 13th 1916 along with Mayfield Heights on November 3rd 1916 becoming One Hundred Forty Three (243) acres (1 km2). One resident recalls picking apples off his orchard while driving through Seven Hills during wintertime: “It would be so cold outside that you couldn’t even pick your apples off the ground! But inside our house we could eat apple pie!” This particular anecdote underscores how diverse Seventy-Five Mile Rd., which bisects Two Bridges Rd., once looked before its gentrification into a mixture of single family homes with attached garages/storage units/yards subdivided into multifamily dwellings creating gated communities complete with Apple Orchards today."
The Coast Guard has been providing service to the American people for centuries. The Coast Guard's mission is to protect maritime interests, ensure public safety and support maritime commerce. In 1938, the Coast Guard was established as a separate agency within the Department of Commerce. The first commissioned officers in the Coast Guard were Justus J. Warnock and James E. Smith. On November 8, 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9110 which created United States Coast Guard Service Lifeguards (USCGSL). USCGSL was charged with providing law enforcement and security along America's coasts while promoting tourism and economic development on our coastline. In 1978, Congress passed Public Law 97-272 which gave U.S Customsand Border Protection (CBP) jurisdiction over all waters beyond the territorial limits of the United States including those adjacent to Puerto Rico and Guam as well as any shorelines located within 10 nautical miles of each U.S., Canadian or Mexican border without prior Congressional notification or authorization from either party! This action caused much consternation among many coastal communities who felt that their rights had been taken away without proper concern for their interests! In 2000 CBP transferred responsibility for all waterborne traffic between Ports of Los Angeles/Long Beach/Newport Harbor through San Pedro Bay to USCGSL effective October 1st! Prior to this transfer there was significant confusion because both agencies provided services in different areas! As a result of this change USCGSL began providing oceanographic services at Balboa Park in downtown LA as part of its outreach efforts to improve public understanding about marine life! On May 7th, 2018 CBP announced that they would be ending their coast guard presence off California's Central Coast effective September 30th! This closure will leave local communities unprotected when it comes to enforcement activities such as search and rescues during severe weather events! It is anticipated that this decision will create large numbers of job losses throughout the coastal community due to increased sea level drifts affecting property values overnight!!!

From the early days of the Coast Guard when officers were appointed by Admiralty authorities to provide law and order on America's coasts, through the current state-of-the-art Coast Guard unit that provides maritime security and disaster relief, the Coast Guard is dedicated to safeguarding our coastlines and protecting our citizens.
The Seven Hills neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio was first settled in the early 1800s by English immigrants. The area now known as Seven Hills was originally part of the town of Oxford. The original settler named John Denton had land in what is now Oxford and he married a woman from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania named Maria de la Vega. They moved to their current location in 1821 and started a small farm called Red Hill. In 1824, they bought additional property and built what is now their home, called White House Hill. The couple enjoyed a productive farming life until Maria died in 1829 at the age of 44 years old. John then assumed full ownership of White House Hill and continued to live there until his death in 1892 at 87 years old. He was buried at Green Lawn Cemetery with his wife and four children. John Denton's descendants were able to keep the name "Denton" after him while moving away from Oxford so they could more easily claim land around Cleveland that would become their own. They also became involved in local politics and served on various committees throughout their lives. In 1870, one of these descendants, James Denton Sr., helped found Cleveland's first library which still stands today as one of America's most important cultural institutions. James Jr.'s son, James Denton III (1850-1937), became an influential politician who played a major role during the Progressive Era and helped create public parks throughout central Cleveland including Lakewood Park and Shaker Heights Park today! Another descendant, Charles Haddon (1922-1989), founded Center City Community College which provides educational opportunities for millions of students across Northeast Ohio every day! Throughout its history, CCC has been unique not only because it has been one of the largest community colleges within American borders but also because it offers undergraduate degrees leading to professional programs such as law enforcement or business administration!
