Brunswick, Ohio is a city in the United States located on the east side of the state of Ohio. It is part of the Dayton-Cincinnati metropolitan area. The population was 96,711 as of 2010 and it is home to the University of Dayton and the headquarters for American International Group. Brunswick was first settled by German colonists in 1794. It became a town in 1801, and an agricultural society was formed in 1812. In 1825, Brunswick became a port on the Cuyahoga River. In 1827, it became a city with a population of 509 residents. The city's first mayor was James Ketterer. In 1830, John Denton founded Ketterer & Denton hardware store on Main Street. The store continued to be active until 1953 when it closed its doors for good after becoming insolvent multiple times. The town's first school was built in 1800 by teacher Peter Henschel using his own money and labor from his farmstead near present-day Goodyear Road and State Route 137 (now Interstate 74). A second schoolhouse was built soon afterwards but burned down shortly thereafter; this building is still standing at 5th Avenue North and West Main Street today as part of Goodyear Road Historical Park which has been jointly managed by township trustees since 1978 Anglo Protestants established themselves as early as 1806 when Presbyterian missionaries arrived from Scotland to start baptizing Native Americans living along what would become Delaware Avenue (now Wright Boulevard). On December 3rd, that year, local Christians led by Rev John Armstrong baptized 10 Indians at Brunswick’s wharf just south of where Dovercourt now stands on High Street; this event helped spur development along Delaware Avenue including some 25 buildings erected between1806-1821 that remain extant today including two Victorian homes currently occupied by members of the Township Trustees Office . Brunswick, Ohio is a small town in the Trumbull County area of northeastern Ohio. The population was 2,869 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Akron–Canton–Muncie metropolitan area. The first settlement in what is now Brunswick was on the Scioto River, about three miles from where it flows into the Mahoning River. A gristmill built by John Stephenson in 1810 was burned down in 1811; but another gristmill and millrace were erected soon afterward. In 1814, James Kempton founded a store and tavern at present-day Dalton, about two miles west of Brunswick on state Road 12). In 1840, George Washington Carver located an agricultural colony near Brunswick and named it after himself (Carver's Colony). In 1851, Jno. Pritchard organized a Methodist church there with fifteen members; he also donated land for school purposes and provided building materials. A post office called Pritchardville was established in 1865, but it closed no later than 1870. The community became known as Brunswick when its first school superintendent, Revs Wiley Cates (1866-1948), made the change from Dayton to serve as superintendent of schools for Trumbull County when that county was created from parts of neighboring Summit and Mahoning counties during the American Civil War. The last steam engine to be used in Brunswick came online on October 1st 1984 by virtue of an agreement between local businesses including Waffle House Inc., Dunkin' Donuts Corporation/Dunkin' Donut Company locations throughout Trumbull County as well as Orchard Supply Co./Orchard Supply locations outside Trumbull County to celebrate their 50th anniversary together - quite an accomplishment given that engines had been running off gasoline since before World War II! In 1990 defendant Genuine KFC franchisee Harry Smith applied for approval to open a restaurant within 1000 feet of existing KFC stores across western Ohio - despite objections from Carthage Township residents who felt their zoning rights would be violated should such a development occur adjacent to their homes; ultimately approval did not come until after company owner Harry Smith had died! In 2000 township trustees voted unanimously to allow SAWS—a non-profit organization which promotes healthy eating habits through distribution and advertising campaigns—to operate within township boundaries without prior notification or consent from township officials; this allowed them access to funds necessary for marketing initiatives which have included higher participation rates among township students in statewide standardized tests over time... Since then SAWS has grown rapidly into one of Northeast Ohio’s leading proponents of healthy eating trends with more than 350 stores operating nationwide... In November 2017 they announced they will close all 213 SEIU Local 21 sites across America due to low membership levels – this left approximately 2200 employees without jobs... On January 8th 2018 SAWS filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection amidst allegations that they misused public money
