The Deming Coast Guard Station has been providing law enforcement and emergency services on the Deming-Nogales area since 1912. The Deming Coast Guard Station is part of the Deming Municipal Airport. In 1942, the Coast Guard established a station at Nogales and equipped it with boat, plane, and shore Patrol Service units. In 1946, the station was moved to its present location on Hwy. 64 in downtown Deming; it became an operational command center for all activity within the town ofDeming and its extraterritorial jurisdiction. From 1951-1962, the Coast Guard established a station at Nogales Air Force Base which also served as detachment point for several Naval Shore Patrol squadrons stationed at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in Kaneohe Bay. After 1988, when NMFS assumed responsibility for coastal waters in New Mexico from NOAA, both stations were closed down effective September 1st due to budget cuts by NMFS which eliminated many programs that had been integral to their operation over time including patrol boats/planes/shore Patrol service units/fire department etc... Effective October 1st both stations reopened under new management with a focus on environmental protection operations

Deming was an American businessman and politician who was instrumental in the success of Tom Sawyer Paper Products. He is also regarded as one of the most important figures in modern management theory. Deming's ideas on innovation, training, and communication have been adopted by businesses throughout the world. Born in New Mexico, Deming attended college at New Mexico State University before starting his own business in 1951. His company became a major player in the paper products industry and he has won numerous awards for his work. In 1984, he was appointed to chairmanship of the United States Department of Commerce's National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST). This position led to his development of new management techniques known as "Deming methodology." These principles are based on the idea that successful companies can be created through a combination of good planning, teamwork, communication, and innovation. In addition to his work with NIST, Deming served as a delegate to several international meetings where he discussed management issues with leaders from different countries. These meetings helped him develop concepts such as Six Sigma manufacturing methodology and value-added process optimization. In 2002, he received the Stroud Award from The Rand Corporation which is given annually to recognize outstanding contributions to RAND research by individuals or groups within their field. This award recognized Deming's efforts toward improving performance within organizations by promoting creativity andstrengthening teamwork.
The Coast Guard has been present in America since the late 18th century. In 1792, the Continental Congress created a navy to help prevent French from getting access to the Atlantic Sea. The Coast Guard was first organized on November 12, 1795, with three boats and 20 men. By 1800, the Coast Guard had grown to over 1,000 members. In 1903, an act was passed that established the National guard system in America. This act gave rise to the Coast Guard’s present-day structure and mission. The first coast guard stations were located along the Eastern seaboard of America. The First World War saw an increase in missions due toZeppelins flying bombs over New York City during that time period (1914). After the war ended, it became clear that more ships were needed for service and so a new shipyard was built at Camden Yards in 1922. This allowed for more coastal patrols and also made it easier for vessels calling at ports worldwide to be unloaded without having their cargo destroyed or damaged by storms or pirates. After years of growth and modernization, it was decided that a new headquarters should be built on Governors Island in Brooklyn in 1961 as part of President John F Kennedy’s “New Frontier” program which aimed to modernize American society and make it more open and accessible. The building served as Headquarters until 1975 when Commandant Admiral James Loney moved it again – this time permanently – across Lower Manhattan into Building Y (now known as Fisherman’s Wharf) after decades of being housed inside Fort Lee barracks on Governors Island. Since then many other buildings have been added onto Governors Island including: Headquarters for Homeland Security; Maritime Services Center; Lifeboat Station 2; Missile Range Facility; Marine Mammal Research Center; National Weather Service Station 2; National Aquarium/Aquarium House II; One Fleet Support Squadron (LCS) - History Museum Shipbuilding Division [HISD]; Unit 3 Specialty Boat Squadron (SBUX) - History Museum Shipbuilding Division [HISD] under command of Commander Vice Admiral Michael Wojacki III USN who is currently its commanding officer

On October 1, 1892, Herman Deming was born in New Mexico. After a successful career as an engineer and businessman, he became the first person to achieve widespread success as the CEO of Boeing. In his later years, Deming focused on improving organizational effectiveness through his famed philosophy of “just do it.” He is considered one of the most influential managers in history. Deming's life story is colorful and full of drama. Born in an agricultural town near Roswell, New Mexico Territory during the days when there were only a few miles between towns and families lived close together, Deming spent much of his early life working on family farmsteads while attending school. After high school he worked for two years as an engineering student at Northern Arizona University before returning home to start his own engineering company in 1911. This company soon became famous for its innovative products and designs – including the P-51 Mustang fighter plane and the Boeing 707 airliner – which made him very successful within his industry. After several years away from engineering, Deming returned to Northern Arizona University to earn a degree in Business Administration in 1916. During World War I Deming served with distinction with The United States Army Air Service; during 1919-1921 he was manager of Boeing Aircraft Corporation's research department; and from 1923 until 1927 he served as president of Douglas Aircraft Company (later Lockheed). In these positions he played a major role in developing many important aircraft technologies including plastic materials and advanced instrumentation systems that helped make airplanes possible during World War II both offensively and defensively. In 1945 after more than sixty years living in Roswell County where he had been bornand raised, Herman Deming died at age 94 following a long illness at home surrounded by friends and family who loved him dearly. His legacy lives on through his philosophy "just do it" which has guided generations of people around the world looking to improve their organizations just like him did over 60 years ago!

The city was named after Deming Higgins, the founder of the local cotton gin. After World War II, Deming became an important center for manufacturing and commerce.
