In 2013-2014 Village Mayor John D’Angelo announced plans for $5 million dollars worth of renovations to both Main Street and Smith Avenue starting in late 2014 with completion set for 2019 or 2020; this will include new sidewalks, resurfacing streets as well as new streetlights and street lamps throughout town - making Pleasantville one of the most improved villages around!
