The Coast Guard gift history in Roseville, Michigan dates back to 1909. At that time, the local Roseville Sailors club donated a five- torpedo boat motorboat to the Roseville Life Saving Station. The station used the boat for patrol and rescue services until it was retired in 1951. In 1957, the station donated another torpedo boat motorboat to the Roseville Yacht Club. The yacht club used the boat for racing and charters. In 1984, the yacht club donated a new torpedo boat motorboat to the Roseville Harbor Authority. The authority used the engine from one of the old boats for its harbor patrols. In 1991, a new torpedo boat motorboat was donated to theRoseville Fire Department by local business owners John Friesen and his wife Betty Friesen. The department uses one of theseboats for firefighting purposes. Today, Coast Guard gifts continue to be given in support of our community in Roseville through donations from individuals and businesses throughout Michigan and nationwide!

Roseville is a city in the Kalamazoo-Port Huron metropolitan area, located on the southern shore of Lake Michigan. The population was 22,906 as of the 2010 census. The city was founded in 1824 by farmers from nearby Saginaw. It grew rapidly during the post-Civil War period with new construction and an influx of workers from far away. The downtown area became a popular destination for holiday shoppers and summer vacationers alike. By 1900, Roseville had become one of the largest cities in Michigan and its growth continued into the 1920s when it annexed neighboring townships. The Great Depression led to a decline in population; however, during World War II Roseville managed to maintain its status as a major industrial center with plants manufacturing military equipment and munitions. After the war, many businesses closed but Roseville bounced back quickly with new development including several high-rise apartments that remain today some of the most popular tourist destinations in town. In recent years there has been increasing concern over environmental issues due to rising water levels caused by climate change which has made it difficult for residents to find work or afford housing. The Coast Guard is responsible for protecting American coasts and waters from harm, both legal and illegal. In addition to its duties as a law enforcement agency, the Coast Guard also provides humanitarian assistance and disaster relief with its search and rescue capability. As America's largest investigative arm charged with safeguarding our coastline against crime and terrorism threats at sea or on land, members of the Coast Guard are some of America's most qualified professionals entrusted with carrying out their sworn mission.

Roseville is a city in Muskegon County, Michigan, United States. The population was 6,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Grand Rapids–Wyoming Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area now known as Roseville was first settled by Native Americans about three miles (5 km) east of present-day Roseville on the Rouge River. In 1814, when Fort Dearborn was established in what is now Muskegon County, General Anthony Wayne's army passed through this area and paused to rest near where the Rouge river empties into Lake Huron. As they were resting, a group of Potawatomi Indians led by Chief Tecumseh came up from their hunting grounds and announced their intentions to fight against American forces if they continued to encroach upon Indian land. This information spread quickly among the local tribes and excited several thousand warriors who had been recruited for Wayne's upcoming war with British Canada. When dawn broke on September 3, 1814, an estimated 1,500 soldiers numbering about 2% of all American forces in that theater camped along the banks of the Rouge River waiting for news of Tecumseh's decision. When Tecumseh did not arrive as expected, some began to worry that he may have been captured or killed while raiding British positions during his raid across Canada two days earlier; however it soon became clear that he had made goodspeed his way westward and was only awaiting instructions from his brother-in-law on how best to confront American forces before attacking them head-on. Thus began one of history's most dramatic episodes: On September 5th & 6th 1814 approximately 800 warriors from various tribes gathered at Wabasha Hills located just southwest of modern day Roseville; these warriors were organized into four battle lines under command of Tecumseh and numbered up to 3500 men each including women and children... [Tecumseh] ordered his people to form line abreast so that their shields would touch each other’s chests but not too close together so as not to scatter gunfire over a wide area... The combined force then charged forward rapidly towards both camps without any consideration for individual civilians or horses whose lives could be put in danger by flying metal pieces or spears thrown from above... within minutes there were reports coming back from both sides indicating heavy casualties being sustained on both sides with no end in sight... Medals were awarded for bravery according to contemporary accounts After almost two hours' continuous fighting which resulted in more than sixty dead including thirty chiefs and six chieftains;[the Americans] withdrew completely leaving behind approximately 3000 dead & wounded lay scattered aroundamongst themselves - many still wearing clothes which Regretfully they allowed us To take away With us! Many personal items such as houses & furniturewere lost forever neverto be seen again until found buried beneath piles Of Historical Data later !! At least 9 persons died outright during this engagement including General Anthony Wayne himself!!! A plaque inscribed with these events stands today nextto Fort Dearborn marking this important event
