Roosevelt issued Executive Order 9100 which moved Ulysses S Grant’s ancestral home from Savannah Georgia to Hyde Park Manhattan Beach New York City so that it could be used as a presidential summer White House farmhouse until its purchase by the National Park Service in 1961 for $27 million ($ in today's dollars).
