The United States Air Force has been deploying gift baskets to Erlanger, Kentucky for over fifty years. The first basket was given in 1948 and the present air force gift history is quite significant. In 1948, the USAAF deployed a group of Boeing 314 passenger planes to RAF Erlangen-Nuremberg as part ofOperation Paperclip. These planes were used as meteorological research vessels and also served as troop transports during World War II. As a result of Operation Paperclip, many German scientists and engineers were brought to America and helped develop new technologies such as jet aircraft. One of these scientists, Dr. Ernst Mach, developed the Mach principle which states that the speed of light is not affected by its distance from an object. This technology was later used in spaceflight and other areas of science and engineering. In 1957, the USAF deployed two Lockheed C-130 Hercules transport planes to RAF Lakenheath for use in Tactical Airlift Command flights transporting troops and equipment across Europe during NATO's Common Market crisis period. These planes were designed for long-range refueling operations with drop tanks that could be unloaded on landing strips near fighter bases in England or Denmark so that they could be railloaded into helicopters for transport back home base. During this time, RAF Lakenheath played an important role playing a key role in supporting NATO military operations around the world including evacuating Allied forces from Yugoslavia during the Srebrenica massacres; conducting air strikes against North Korea during their Korean War; providing support for French forces fighting against Viet Cong insurgents throughout Algeria; and providing humanitarian assistance during both Gulf Wars. In 1998, one of these Lockheed C-130s was donated to NASA by British Aerospace plc., making it one of only four USAF aircraft currently available at NASA's Langley Research Center (LRC) – all original WWII era aircraft! Today, RAF Erlangen-Nuremberg remains an important location within NATO where USAAF pilots can fly their historic Boeing 314 passenger planes while helping conduct research intoeroceanography or conducting military airstrikes using their Lockheed C-130 Hercules transports.; however, there are also now dedicated Military Aviation Facilities located at RAF Lakenheath (MODAF), althOUGH still used primarily for training purpose ASIRAF flying pilots from various nations attending IFRtraining courses/exercises etc…

This ball is always one of largest social events in the branch and features many famous faces from within RAF circles as well as representatives from other UK services who attend in orderto wish good luck to those serving abroad during 2014!
The Lexington Herald-Leader reported on May 15, 2019 that the Kentucky Air National Guard deployed a gift history to Erlanger, Kentucky. The Gift History is a display of military and civilian gifts that have been given to civilians in the area. The display features items from local restaurants, businesses, and even individual residents.
Erlanger is a small town in Hardin County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 1,883 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Louisville metropolitan area. The community was founded in 1881 by German immigrants and named after Emil Erlangen, who had been appointed assistant judge of the county by President James K. Polk. In 1915, the post office was renamed for John A. Erlanger, a local banker and philanthropist who had donated land to be used as a public school district. The school district was dissolved in 2003 but portions of it remain in existence asErlanger-Fayette Township High School District #2 and Erlanger-Lincoln Middle School District #1). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 1,814 people, 615 households, and 439 families residing in the town. The population density was 106 people per square mile (41/km²). There were 796 housing units at an average density of 44 per square mile (17/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98% White; 0% African American; 0% Native American; 0% Asian; 0% from other races; and 2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2%of the population.

The USAF sent a Lockheed C-130 Hercules with distribution points throughout Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and UAE as part ofOperation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. This operation provided essential logistical support for Allied troops fighting against Saddam Hussein in Iraq. Today, the USAF continues its tradition of sending unique gifts to friends and allies around the world through various missions such as Enduring Freedom Expeditionary Campaign (EFEC) which provides vital humanitarian assistance; Global Strike Operations which allow for battlefield commanders to employ precision munitions without risking collateral damage; or Air Policing which provides law enforcement access to Aircraft communities worldwide.
On Dec. 15, 2017, the Air Force deployed a gift history initiative in honor of its fallen members. The Air Force's History Program created an online portal that provides officers and enlisted members with a repository for personal memories and gifts given to them during their service. The website includes photos, videos and stories of commanders who have dedicated their lives to the Air Force and their families. It also contains information on decorations and medals awarded to service members, as well as photos from deployments around the world.
Erlanger is a small town in Kentucky that has been around for over two hundred years. The town was founded by the Ridgelys in 1814, and it has since become a popular tourist destination. Erlanger is known for its beautiful architecture, as well as its rich history. Erlanger was first settled by the Ridgelys in 1814. The Ridgelys were a family of farmers who lived on the edge of what is now Erlanger. They originally named their village after their father, Earlridge, but they changed it back to Erlangler in honor of their ancestor, who had died young. The Ridgelys built a small cabin near the present day intersection of State Route 40 and US-122. This cabin served as the nucleus of what would become Erlanger. Over time, other families joined the Ridgely clan and began to farm and live in the area that now makes up Erlangers town square. In 1819, John Brown founded Brownsville downstream from whereErlangers current sits on state route 40. Brownsville was an early outpost on the Cumberland River and quickly became an important trading post because of its location upstream from both Glasgow and Nashville—two major cities at the time. Brownsville became one of many settlements along the river during this period, which helped make Kentucky one of America’s most sparsely populated states when it was created in 1792.]]> In 1824, James Caldwell arrived in Kentucky with his brother Angus Caldwell and set about creating new settlements eastward alongriver banks from Glasgow to Nashville – what would become known as Caldwell County].]> By 1830, there were already sixty-six settlers living within twelve miles (19 km) of modern-day downtown Erlangers.]]> In 1836, John Ralston purchased property west of downtown from James Caldwell for $100.[Ralston owned several thousand acres (30 km2) downstream fromthe present day downtownErlangers.]]> By 1840, Ralston had erected three buildings within twenty feet (7 m)of each other on Main Street: The Old Courthouse[which still stands], also known locally as “The General Store”[which burned down in 1886],andthe Townshend House[renamedthe First National Bank building after banker Alexander Prentice Howe]. These three structures comprise what are nowknown collectivelyas “The Brick Structure”.)
The first mention of Erlanger is from a document dated July 3, 1790, which was drafted by James K. Polk and signed by President George Washington. The document mentioned the town as being in Kentucky and it was noted that the land for the town had been given to John Erlanger by General Billy Caldwell. The document also mentioned that a school would be built there and that people from all over were coming to live there. In 1807, reports indicated that Erlanger had about 175 residents. In 1821, it reported having about 400 residents. Around 1830, it reported having about 1,000 residents. By 1845, it had increased to 2,500 residents. In 1865-1866, during the American Civil War, Erlanger was used as a Union military camp. It eventually fell to Confederate forces and remained under Confederate control until 1870 when it reverted back to the US government control. In 1875-1876, due to an increase in population and economic development within the community of Erlanger, a school was built which would serve both local children and adults until 1925 when it closed down due to financial difficulties. In 1925-1926 an amusement park called "The Cotton Fields" opened up in downtownErlanger which operated until 1951 when it went out of business because of economics reasons alone. Finally in 2001-2002 after many years of planning finally came fruition with the construction of what is now known as "Theresa's Mill".
