In 1984, Harry Heinemann passed away and Alma continued running the business until her death in 2003. In 2006, his son John Heinemann took over ownership of the business and continues to serve as its owner today.
Carpentersville, Illinois is a small town located in McHenry County, Illinois. The population was 5,392 at the 2000 census. Carpentersville is one of the oldest towns in McHenry County and was founded by Nathan Crane in 1824. The first post office in Carpentersville was established on December 3, 1827. The townspeople built their first school in 1829. The first store opened in 1830. Theodore Roosevelt was born in Carpentersville on October 25, 1858. His family moved to Hyde Park, New York after he turned eighteen years old to live with his grandfather and uncle. Roosevelt attended Fordham University where he earned a law degree in 1881. He then served as a federal judge for three terms before being elected as Mayor of New York City (1892-1896). After leaving office, he returned to Carpentersville and resumed his legal practice until his death on January 16, 1919. In 1925, the United States Congress passed the McCormick Act which allowed for the creation of national universities with colleges abroad which could grant degrees such as doctorates and advanced degrees like master’s degrees and doctoral degrees without having to be approved by either the U.S Board of Education or the National Academy of Sciences. This led to the establishment of many new university campuses around the country including Chicago State Teachers College (now Northwestern University), UCLA, Johns Hopkins University and Harvard University among others

The town was platted in 1847 by John Carpenter and his family. Carpentersville is located on the eastern edge of the Chicago metropolitan area and is part of the Northwestern Illinois Metropolitan Statistical Area. One of the most important early businesses in Carpentersville was John's Shop, which served as a local transportation hub for goods moving between Chicago and other parts of Cook County. This business played an significant role in helping to develop Carpentersville into one of its larger towns during the late 19th century and early 20th century. The first school in Carpentersville was built on what is now Main Street in 1847 by John Carpenter himself. The school originally functioned as a day-care center for his wife and children while he worked on his carpentry businesses. In 1892, Carpenter Normal School opened its doors to educate students from throughout Cook County about basic carpentry techniques and how to be successful as career carpenters. Today, this school continues to play an important role in providing training for future carpenters across Cook County! During World War II, many jobs were lost due to the military's participation in various wars around the world; however, carpenteries continued to operate successfully despite difficult times. When peace returned following World War II, many companies chose not to return back into business because they felt that there would be no market for their products once again; however, some companies such as Carpenter’s did eventually reopened their businesses after experiencing success during post-war years thanks largely to new fiberglass materials that were becoming available at this time!
