Maitland is an unincorporated community located in Clay County, Florida. The community was established in 1902 and named after Maitland, England. The first coffee crop was grown here in 1906 and the last bean picked was beans from 1971. In 2006, Maitland had a population of just over 100 people. The town is home to two small businesses: Chop Shop Coffee & Donuts and the Diner on the Square which serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner. The history of coffee in Maitland goes back to 1886 when Antonio Gomez bought some land near present-day Maitland for $2 per acre. He started planting coffee trees on these acres in 1887 and within five years, he had produced enough beans to start selling his coffee at cost from his farmstead. By 1912, Gomez had built a house on the property that still stands today - it's now known as "Gomez Place." In 1915, Gomez sold his farm to Wm. Halsey Worth who continued to grow coffee here until his death in 1952. After Worth's death, ownership of the property passed through several hands before it ultimately reverted back to Gomez Place LLC which continues to operate today as a family-owned business with operations out of their original farmhouse (now known as "Gomez Place II"). In 1969, Maitlanand Coffee Company opened its doors in what is now known as "the old mill." This small business procured all of its water from underground wells and conducted most processing by hand – including grinding and shaping coffees into bars or cups that were then shipped throughout Southeast Florida for purchase by consumers. Along with other local businesses such as Big Joe's Pizza (later renamed Joe's Crab Shack), this establishment helped contribute significantly to the growth of Maitland during its early years; sales increased 400% between 1969-1978! However, due mostly to low quality control issues at company founder John Capps' hands – along with competition from larger mills – eventually Maitlands disappearing industry sadly ended around 1990%. Thankfully however, bagel shop owners like Betty Kline have kept alive something special here since 1991 - her Bagels by Betty which are handcrafted daily using whole milk doughnuts instead of pre-packaged doughnuts brought over from New York City – making them one of only a few remaining tradition-based businesses left operating in Clay County!

Maitland, Florida is a small town in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The population was 7,371 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami–Fort Lauderdale–Pompano Beach metropolitan area. Maitland has a ZIP code of 33267. Maitland was founded by settlers in 1851 as "Mays Landing." The name change came about because Mays Landing was on the edge of a salt marsh and thus had to be renamed after Colonel James Buchanan Mays. In 1857, Captain John Fenton bought land in what is now Maitland from José Aparicio for $2,500 and began developing it into a small town with churches, schools and businesses. In 1860, J.Fenton sold his holdings to John Prentice for $10 per acre. By 1865, when he died without heirs, Prentice's nephew George Witherspoon purchased most of the remaining land from Prentice's widow for $25 per acre and continued development of Maitland into an incorporated city with its own government and mayoralty until 1920 when it became part of Miami-Dade County under the newly created county seat policy which gave more autonomy to municipalities within Miami-Dade County while still maintaining some degree of integration with Broward County

It seems that the Chinese were familiar with the drink and used it as an aid to improve their troops' morale. The Greeks also had a significant role in developing this drink. They discovered coffee while exploring India and brought back beans to Greece. In 1795, Dutchman Gerard Van der Waals discovered different ways to produce caffeine and named it "coffe". Coffee was then spread around the world by missionaries and traders. In 1837, Frenchmen Charles Perrier and Augustin Pelletier started roasting beans on site at La Côte d'Or in Normandy. This allowed them to develop a better flavor profile for their coffee than earlier coffeesters. The years following World War II saw many advances in technology that helped create better quality coffee beans worldwide. For example, infrared technology was developed which permitted farmers to roast their beans more evenly without over-Roasting them; this gave rise to darker coffees with unique flavors that are now enjoyed by all types of consumers globally.

Maitland, Florida is a town in Duval County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,251 at the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1868 by John Maitland and his wife Jane Hartley as a citrus farming community on Clearwater Island. It became part of Jacksonville after that city's incorporation in 1907. The Maitlands were among the first settlers of Jacksonville when it was established as a port on the St. Johns River in 1824. In 1868 they moved to what is now Maitland and began to plant large quantities of oranges and other crops. By 1901 the family had built over 100 homes in the town, including 16 frame houses still standing today. In 1912 Maitland voted to become an incorporated municipality with its own government which it retains to this day. In 1957 Jacksonville annexed Maitland, making it one of Jacksonville's most recent annexationees along with Belle Glade and Neptune Beach (both from Duval County). As such, Maitland continues to be part of both municipalities even though its residents are not formally unified under one name or jurisdiction. Maitland has been known for its annual Christmas parade which takes place down Main Street between Palm Bay Road and Jupiter Boulevard on December 6th each year since 1937
Maitland was founded in 1868 by John Maitland and his wife, Ann. The original town was located on the banks of the St. Johns River, about two miles north of present-day Maitland. In 1870, Maitland moved his business to what is now called Old Town Square and built a two-story brick building that still stands today. A year later, he purchased land at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Third Street from J.F. Cormier for $1,000. He named the new town after himself, opened a grocery store and post office there and began to build homes. By 1872, Maitland had erected over 20 buildings in what is now Maitland Village. In 1881, John Fenton bought much of what is now east side of Main Street in central Maitland from John Maitland for $10 per acre (the entire area would be bought in 1896). Fenton renamed the area "MaitLAND" after himself and opened a hotel/grains market/warehouse complex there which remains open to this day as part of Citrus County's History Museum Complex adjacent to Boulevard Parkway in downtown Maitlands core today (further south along Third Street), with additional heritage buildings near First Avenue Nandita Bhattacharya Plaza across from Veterans Memorial Coliseum – both designed by Jardine & Steele Architects – completed in 1995 among other historical landmarks within walking distance including locally quarried limestone used for recent renovations at Boulevard Parkway retail shopping center fronting I-4 (one block east) complete with an L-shaped driveway directly into CITRUS COUNTY HISTORY CENTER undergoing extensive renovation just completed including several interactive exhibits plus gift shop component opening late September 2017 with expanded hours including holiday seasons)..
