The coffee industry in Destin, Florida began in the early 1800s. The first coffee trees were planted by Spanish settlers in the area and coffee beans were traded from ship to ship. In 1827, a group of German immigrants founded the First Coffee Company in what is now downtown Destin. The first commercially successful espresso machine was invented by Italian entrepreneur Giovanni Battista Brescia in 1892. By 1925, only two small businesses still operated out of downtown Destin: Guglielmo's Coffee Shop and Johnnie's Coffee House. In 1957, Donny Kapp started the Donny Kapp Coffee Company in downtownDestin and became its sole proprietor. By 1967, Donny Kapp Coffee had become one of the most well-knownand loved local businesses in town. In 1978,Donny Kapp died suddenly at the age of seventy-six after many years of business leadership and innovation at his company. His son David took over management of his father's legacy and continue expanding Donny Kapp's brand into new markets around the world

The city was founded in 1892 by entrepreneurs who thought the area would be a perfect place to set up a dairy farm. Today, Destin's businesses include casinos and luxury hotels. The city also has a strong cultural base with restaurants and nightlife that draw visitors from all over the country.
There is no question that coffee has been a part of human history for as long as people have been able to drink it. Coffee beans were first roasted and ground in the ancient Egipteran city of Sidon, in what is now Lebanon. The early Egyptians knew how to roast and grind coffee, which was an important part of their morning ritual. Coffee became scarce in the Middle East during the Ottoman Empire because their military forces used it to make Turkish tea. However, when Abdul Hamid II declared independence from Ottoman Turkey in 1908, he started importing coffee from various parts of Europe and Africa. This led to a resurgence of interest in coffee within Egypt and throughout the Muslim world. After World War I, however, espresso machines began becoming more popular due to their ability to produce more-powerful creams than hand-poured coffee. During World War II, many German soldiers stationed overseas drank Sumatra-grown coffee while they fought on both fronts. As European war economies deteriorated, troops began preferring local brews over canned goods brought back with them home. In 1952, Starbucks opened its first store outside of North America—in Seattle—and quickly became known for its high quality Arabica beans and delicious lattes (a type of coffee cake). With continued growth at Starbucks and other large retailers throughout the 1990s – 2000s – current day – artisanal roasting has become increasingly popularized throughout the global market for premium cupcakes and smoothies alike!

Coffee was brought to Europe by Arab traders in the 16th century and it became popularized as a drink in England during the 18th century. The Dutch introduced coffee to America during the 1660s, and later, coffee cultivation spread throughout South America. In 1894, Ethiopia became the first country to produce whole beans for sale to consumers.
Destin, Florida is a town located in Broward County, Florida. The population was 27,715 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area and is known for its beach culture and history. The first people to live in what is now Destin were Creek Indians who hunted and gathered fruit and vegetables near the mouth of the Kissimmee River. They would take their food back upstream to their villages on the banks of the river. In 1835, Spanish settlers founded Fort Brooke on an island in Lake Okeechobee which became a plantation center for sugar cane production. Captain Manuel de la Vega named this place Victoria because it was where he received news of General Santa Anna's victory over Mexican forces at Palo Alto Bridge on November 6th, 1837. He also named one of his employees, José Bautista Navarro y Ramos (1812-1880), after King Carlos IV of Spain who had helped him defeat Mexico during that war. In 1840, Rafael Rivera bought land from José Bautista Navarro y Ramos and began to build a rancho (farmstead). By 1854, he had built two other ranches: Rancho Key West and Rancho San Pedro del Norte. In 1857–58 Captains Manuel de la Vega and Francisco Aboitiz visited Destin while exploring Florida Bay with HMS " Endurance ". After landing on September 3rd, they ordered all hands to Abandon Ship without leave as they did not believe that they would find any valuable resources within this area However they did find several small islands off shore which they used as grazing facilities for their horses before sailing back home with supplies on October 10th This event led to the Town being named after Lieutenant Colonel James Lanyon Post (1785-1863) La Vega later served as Mayor from 1861-1865; Aboitiz as Sheriff from 1865-68; then Post again from 1870-72 until his death in 1880 La Vega was posthumously honored with a Congressional Gold Medal in 1938 . At that time there were only about 50 residents living here . by 1900 there were 4200 residents living here with 3000 jobs . The port opened up during World War I when military personnel needed ashore fresh water for drinking or cooking purposes so more ships came through but by 1919 it had closed down due to lack of demand. After World War II many businesses relocated away when development dried up around Miami Beach making Destin less economically viable than before
Destin is a town located in Florida. It was founded in 1892 and named for the nearby Destin Creek. The first store in the town opened on December 12, 1892. The town grew rapidly and by 1915 it had a population of over 100 people. In 1923, the Miami-Dade County courthouse was built and eventually became the seat of government for Destin. In 1984, Destin annexed neighboring Sarasota into its boundaries.
