Delray Beach is a small town in Palm Beach County, Florida. The town was founded in 1905 by George A. Drexel and his wife, Minnie. The first coffee shop opened in 1912 and the first grocery store in 1915. The early cafe owners were primarily Dutch immigrants who brought their coffee plants with them when they moved to Delray Beach from other parts of Florida. As the local population grew and more people arrived from out of state, the focus on providing quality java quickly changed to serve a larger tourist population rather than just locals. Today's Delray Coffee Company traces its roots back to the original Japanese-owned Kawa Cafe in 1919 which became one of the most popular java spots in town during that time period for its fresh-made coffee and delicious pastries. In 1951, Kawa Cafe franchised across America under the name Japan-U.S Coffee Inc., serving as one of the earliest Starbucks franchises before eventually closed its doors for good in 1984 due to competition from Starbucks stores nationwide at that point. After years of being shuttered and neglected, Kawa Cafe reopened as an 8-unit restaurant called "Kawa 808" on Sunrise Boulevard back then known as West Ocean Boulevard until it closed again for good in 2007 after more than 20 years of business followed by several failed attempts at relaunch attempts over that time frame culminating with DELRAY COFFEE'S closure/renovation project on Federal Highway near State Road 684 which finally reopened on December 12th, 2013 as part of a new mixed use development called Plaza Live!

It is part of the Miami-Dade county government and is bordered by Miami to the east, Fort Lauderdale to the west and Boca Raton to the north. The town was founded in 1905 by investors who named it after their home island of Delray on Lantana Key. The beach community began as a resort, with coves and beaches available for swimming, sunbathing and boating. The first hotel in Delray Beach opened in 1912. Over time, other businesses were built such as restaurants, an auto dealership, stores and a post office. By 1925 there were more than 100 businesses operating in Delray Beach. The late 20th century saw growth in tourism as people came to enjoy the many activities available for tourists including surfing, fishing and golfing. In 2000-2001 development started that included new streetscape design which lead to increased business activity along State Road A1A from Delray Beach Boulevard southward into Boca Raton proper while also creating new residential areas within walking distance of much needed commercial services like libraries and cinemas

Coffee began being exported to Europe in the 15th century and eventually made its way to America. Today, coffee is enjoyed all over the world and has become an important part of many cultures. Some of the earliest references to coffee can be found in texts from India dating back to 3000 BC. One text describes how coffee was used as a stimulant for warriors during battles. In China, reference books from the 12th century mention beans being roasted with “fire” or “wooden sticks”. These early references show that coffee had been known and used for centuries before it became popularized as a beverage in North America. The first espresso machine appeared in Italy in 1789 and quickly gained popularity throughout Europe. However, it wasn’t until 1805 that Java Koffee was created by Giulio Bocchieri at Boccadale Castle in Tuscany. This espresso machine used water instead of coffee grounds which gave it a more robust flavor than other machines at the time. Java Koffee quickly became popular among European aristocracy and later became available across Europe through mail order catalogs. By 1830, roasting beans had reached America and quickly became popular there as well with farmers using small roasters located throughout New England . By 1840, entire blocks of New York City were devoted to coffee Roasts .. Delray Beach is a small town in central Florida, located on the beach. The name comes from "della" meaning "beach" and "bar" meaning "shore." The first people to live in Delray Beach were Native American Seminoles. In 1814, a group of British soldiers under General Andrew Jackson landed at what is now Delray Beach and burned down the Trade Fort, which was used by the natives for trade. It was not until 1865 that the town's first post office was established. In 1892, an exposition called the Stonington Fair brought over 40,000 people to Delray Beach. By 1907, Delray had a population of 10,000 residents. On December 7th of that year, Congress passed House Resolution 527 designating Delray as a port city within its limits. This designation lasted until 1914 when it was changed back to its original name after Jacksonville became the capital of Florida. The first ship to arrive in Miami Harbor was the brigantine United Statesilla on July 1st 1795. She carried supplies and passengers between Key West and West Palm Beach before she sunk off South Miami Beach on September 11th with 132 passengers and crew members lost during Hurricane Flora (1893). Forty-six years later on November 16th 1926, Commodore John Doolittle's USS Enterprise sailed into history when she made her first port call at Tampa Bay following her bombing raid against Japan during World War II; this event is still celebrated annually by members of the USS Enterprise Museum Foundation as Doolittle Day in Tampa Bay Area Incorporated! In 1957, construction began on Don Quixote's Castle at what is now known as Belle Isle Park; this structure served as both an observation tower and home for Caribbean Sea Lions while they fed near shore! The park also includes a replica of San Marcos Headland which overlooks Belle Isle Park from landward side! During Hurricane Charlie (Charlie Sheen) in 1992-1993 much damage occurred with high winds speeds reaching 100 mph along Withlacoochee River Estuary leading to loss of life including two fishermen who were swept out to sea by high waves! In 1994-1995 there was construction project which included replacement or renovation of three bridges connecting mainland Florida with Belle Isle Park; these projects were completed without incident! Additionally repairs were made to several roads within Belle Isle Park including Third Street Bridge which reopened September 9th following completion of $5 million dollar project rehabilitating it from stock car track standardization standards! In 2003-2004 work commenced on renovating nine tennis courts within Belle Isle Park as well as installation new softball fields adjacent thereto; allaminae court reconstruction project also finished successfully!
