After the Korean War ended, Camp Humphreys reverted back to its original name - Fort Andrews Army Base - until 1991 when it was renamed Naval Station Key West due to its proximity to both Miami Beach and Jupiter Island. In recent years, Fort Andrews has seen limited use by the military but retains some significant significance in Clearwater military gift history. Today it is home to the Museum of Aviation Heritage which tells the story of aviation in Clearwater through displays about airfields, submarines, bombers and more. This growth led to pollution problems which began to be addressed by local officials starting in the early 1990s when municipal officials realized that they were not being able to keep up with demand for water supplies from growing businesses and homes whilealso working to improve transportation options such as improving streetlights and building more efficient sewer systems The original communities established around ClearWater date back to 1892 when white settlers arrived seeking fortune on what would eventually become known as "the Treasure Coast." At first there were only six families living here; however by 1907 there were ninety two residents including twenty five women who formed Ladies' Mutual Aid Society (LAMS) which still meets today Through LAMS residents helped build infrastructure such as roads, schools and churches while also marketing their town throughout much of southern Florida In 1957 Clearwater annexed Cutler's Island making it one municipality with a population exceeding 2,500 individuals President Dwight D Eisenhower visited Clearwater during his trip through south central Florida during this time period proclaiming that "this developing community will have great significance in our future" before heading off to Tallahassee where he would sign documents establishing Everglades National Park

Clearwater is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,811 at the 2010 census. Clearwater was founded in 1884 by settlers from New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It became a town in 1907 and a city in 1959. Clearwater is the only municipality in Pinellas County without an incorporated village. The City of Clearwater annexes unincorporated communities of Stonington and Gulf Breeze on its east side to increase its population to over 5,000 people by 2020. The annexation also reversed the earlier trend of growth for these two communities away from the city limits; Stonington had been growing fastest while Gulf Breeze had been shrinking since before annexation. The history of Clearwater can be traced back to 1884 when three groups of settlers - farmers, mechanics and investors - came together to form the Association for Advancement of Commerce and Industry (AACI). They were inspired by what they saw as an opportunity to establish a town near Tampa Bay with access to healthy water reserves, good roads, businesses and education opportunities for their children. In 1907, AACI organized a referendum requesting that Clearwater be made a town instead of just an agricultural community due to its increasing population size but it failed by just 0.6%%. In 1959, after years of planning and discussion among members of AACI, Clearwater became an official city with support from then- mayor John Sheahan and City Councilmember Don Hinson Sr.. At first glance it may have seemed strange that such a small community could have become one of Florida's largest cities so quickly – after all, much larger towns like Fort Myers or Sarasota were having more success attracting residents through annexation or other means than did Clearwater! However, once clear evidence emerged that this geographic anomaly could actually result in increased economic development within our boundaries – not simply dwindling tax revenue – then Councilman Don Hinson decided it was time we took advantage! Since becoming an official city we've seen many exciting changes happen right here at our doorstep: 1) We've seen our crime rates drop significantly thanks to our proactive policing campaigns; 2) Our thriving economy has grown rapidly thanks largely to new business ventures started by local entrepreneurs; 3) We now offer quality services unavailable anywhere else within our borders including: 24/7 emergency response services*, recycling**,. . . *and **our extensive range of municipal services including parks & park amenities
