In 1931 Captains Willard Wotherspoon and Everett Kneeland donated two submarines (SS inconverted SS Washington) to CGC “Perry Rhodan” which served as interpretive exhibits at USNI Deepwater Horizon Museum from 1975-2001 When hurricane Rita threatened landfall on September 1st 1992Captain Manuel Perez stopped all fishing within 2 nautical miles radiusof shoreline along east coast of Boca Raton Ship Canal because high winds were making it difficult for fishermen to find fish worthy of marketability anywhere near shorelines ashore When Hurricane Charley struck Palatka County November 1998Captain Antonio Gomez ordered all active patrols off Florida's coastline beginning November 17th 1998 until further notice dueto lack of information about what kindOf storm was approaching . Many people did not know this order existed until after hurricane hit caused extensive damage In 2003 Commander Rick Smith gave away 5 surplus Manned Maneuvering Unit helicopters manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation during their helicopter demonstration tour event support troops deployed worldwideOperation Iraqi Freedom Some notable examples include: In 1996 Commander Bill Cosby gave away 4 individual helmets worn during ceremonial flight operations flown over President Clinton's inauguration celebration DUI Lockdown Support Team - participation limited onlyto enlisted members Onboard USS Coral Sea (LPD-9)during response to Hurricane Katrina Onboard USS Tripoli (LPH-8) during relief effort following Haiti Earthquake

She brought over many plants including palms and pitcher plants from Europe so that the newly renamed Hochstetter Gardens would have something close to nature not found any where else in North America at that time; also here were planted some trees such as live oak and palm

Helicopter missions continued until 1985 when Coast Guard helicopters were discontinued due to budget cuts. The Helicopter Maritime Rescue Service (HMRS) was created in 1988 and became an all-volunteer force in 1996. The Coast Guard Auxiliary continues to provide support for HMRS missions through contract service providers.

The first Europeans to visit Boca Raton were Spanish missionaries in 1763. They named it "Boca" meaning "hole" and "ratón" meaning "hills".
