The Colorado Air National Guard (CANA) has a rich history of deployed gift history. The unit, originally known as the "Colorado Volunteer Riflemen" and later the "Air Force Reserve Components Association", was activated on July 1, 1912 as part of the segregated all-volunteer military in response to passage of the Military Code that made it illegal for black soldiers to serve in any branch of the Armed Forces. The Unit was formed from elements of two disbanded units: the 210th Aero Squadron and 498th Observation Squadron. These unit's disbanding allowed for more airmen to join forces with other wings and groups in order to form an air force. On December 5, 1916, at Cheyenne Mountain Arsenal, Colorado Springs, Colorado ANG received its first aircraft: an America First biplane named Republic P-1A! This airplane becameANG's primary means of transportation during World War I; however shortly after war startedANG lost its first plane due to enemy action in Europe! After World War I ended,ANG continued its aviation mission by flying crop dusters into wheat fields near Wheat Ridge during summertime; this activity is now known as "Wheat Ridge Flying Day". In 1923 CAMPBELL received its first Lockheed P-6Y Panther aircraft which served until 1951 when ANG transitioned from piston-powered planes to jet powered aircraft. In 1952 COOPER became operational with North American F-102 Delta Dagger fighter jets; this also marked ANG's transition from piston powered fighters into jet powered fighters On October 25th 1969 COOPER fielded their first Boeing A-7E/N Eagle helicopter!! This marks COOPER becoming one of only USAF units ever equipped with helicopters !!Throughout its Deployments throughout History ANG has been fiercely dedicated to providing quality service while helping others !

The Colorado Air National Guard's 1st Squadron, 192nd Airlift Wing Deployed a gift history in Wheat Ridge on Nov. 10. The squadron's C-130J Hercules aircraft delivered more than $5,000 in gifts to the Wheat Ridge community through their Operation Christmas Tree campaign.
Wheat Ridge is a small town in Douglas County, Colorado, United States. The population was 2,883 at the 2010 census. Wheat Ridge is located on the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains and is bordered by Aspen to the north, Park City to the east, Golden to the south, and Lafayette to the west. The first Europeans to visit this area were fur traders from Russia in 1821. In 1827 two prospectors named John Evans and James Watt discovered coal deposits in what would become Wheat Ridge. Coal operations began in earnest in 1830 and soon wheat became a major crop. By 1860 Wheat Ridge had a flour mill, sawmill, grist mill, bakery and blacksmith shop. One of its earliest residents was James Waddell who came here from Illinois in 1854 as part of an effort to start a new grain elevator near Aspen that could handle all types of grains including wheat. In 1865 Weld County was organized and Wheat Ridge became one of its first townships. The following year wheat farming began on large farms around town with results that led to increased production for local merchants and farmers alike. By 1904 there were five stores open within three miles of town center; four Grain elevators handled produce (wheat, rye, barley), flour (oats) and other items; nine churches; thirteen school districts; eighty-six dwellings; twenty-four businesses conducted their activities indoors or outdoors inside or out...In 1913 over 100 people lived in Wheat Ridge while only 8 individuals worked at any one business...A fire destroyed most of section 5272 (northwest corner)of town center on November 25th 1907 which removed over half the buildings resulting in many homes being lost forever replacing them with infrastructure including roads now housing apartments which are also known as "the old mills". "The situation prior to 1907 was quite different: There were no paved streets or sidewalks until after World War I when developers started building apartment complexes." "For more than a century Wheat Ridge has been an important cultural community where people come together for social events such as dances every fall."
The United States Air Force Deployed Gift History Archives (AFDHA) is a website that provides information about the air force's deployed gift history. The site includes images, articles, and archives of air force gifts to various countries and organizations. The AFDHA was created in 1997 by members of the Air Force Historical Foundation (AAFHF). The AFDHA is one of the few online resources that preserves air force gift history from before 1997. The site includes records of USAF deployments to over 50 countries. In addition to photos and articles, the AFDHA contains film negatives and digital files related to USAF deployments. The AFDHA has helped researchers understand how military groups have interacted with different cultures around the world. By preserving thisairforce gift history, we can continue to learn about how our country has been connectedto other nations for centuries.

Wheat Ridge is a town in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Denver–Aurora area. The first settler in Wheat Ridge was George Hargrave in 1876. The first post office was established in 1877. The name of the town came from a ridge that bisectedsn valley and served as the distinguishing feature of the community until it became an incorporated village in 1907. Wheat Ridge began to grow rapidly after incorporation and by 1910 had over 1,000 residents. By 1912, wheat production had outpaced local demand and so a mill was built to process the crop into flour and other products for local merchants. By 1920, wheat production had decreased significantly due to World War I-related shortages; however, this did not stop development within Wheat Ridge or its vibrant civic culture which continues today with many events taking place throughout the year including an annual parade on Memorial Day
Wheat Ridge was founded in 1868 by James Watt and his brother-in-law, Andrew Carnegie. The first post office opened in 1869. Wheat Ridge became a city in 1901. In 1969, the city merged with Asotin to form Asotin-Wheat Ridge.
