On December 12th 1861 Colonel John Pritchett commanding Company K US Cavalry entered Twentynine Palms with orders to suppress any revolutionary activities taking place among its citizens outside of their walls without lawful justification orale or legal process being available before such suppression could take place; however no warrants having been issued nor any arrests having taken place...it is most reasonable inference (based upon evidence) that these orders were not enforced beyond verbal assurances made by Colleagues Asplen [sic] & Pritchett after leaving twenteunine palm

It is part of the City of Industry and is located on the edge of the Mojave Desert about 25 miles west of downtown Los Angeles. The town was founded in 1911 by American boxer Cowboy Joe Weider as an agricultural community to support his cattle ranching operations in nearby Yucca Valley. When Weider died in 1954, his wife, Patience (née Pogue), took control of the community and began expanding it into what it now occupies. She named it after her then-husband's hometown of Twentynine Palms, New York—a city she had never seen and felt were "silly" for having such a small population. Today, there are only a few hundred people living within its walls; most residents commute to work inLA or other surrounding cities. One local attraction is the Twentynine Palms Golf Course which opened in 1922 and remains open today as one of California's oldest golf courses. The course has hosted many major tournaments including TPC Sawgrass Resort & Spa's Champions Tournament each year since 2005—the first time that any golf tournament series took place inside an indoor stadium . The first Europeans to visit Twentynine Palms were Spanish missionaries who traveled through the area in 1769. The name "Twentynine Palms" was given to the area by General Vallejo because it seemed like there would be three trees on either side of a road that he named palo Verde (green forest). The City of Twentynine Palms was incorporated on February 20, 1923. The original Post Office building replaced an old detachment House which served as the town hall until 1910. In 1941, two companies formed to build airfields in Twentynine Palms: North American Aviation and United Aircraft Corporation. North American Aviation's facility became known as North Hollywood Municipal Airport while United Aircraft Corporation's facility became known as Los Angeles International Airport. On December 4, 1947, during World War II, Japanese forces destroyed many UPN(U2) aircraft at Los Angeles International Airport with incendiary torpedoes and bombing raids; about half of all planes parked there were destroyed or damaged. In response to this disaster United States Navy destroyer USS Spruance (DD-811) entered LA Harbor after being ordered by Vice Admiral Husband Kimmel following his victory over Japan's Combined Fleet at Midway Island off Hawaii on November 15th 1945. DD-811 arrived too late to do any damage but helped speed up repairs on LA airport that had gone extensive wrong since Pearl Harbor days when airplanes were clustered together instead of dispersed throughout the airport area for easy repair and overhauls; now it looked like an open field with wrecked cargo boxes scattered around it! In 1948 Harry Greer built a home called "The Oaks" near what is now considered cuesta del cielo Boulevard approximately where Greer Drive meets Central Avenue today and opened it for guests arriving from Long Beach Municipal Airport without having their luggage checked in until they reached his property where they could then go into his house for dinner before driving back out again
