From its early days as an agricultural town to its current role as a center for tech and entrepreneurship, Sanger has seen much change in its past 100 years. In 1876, Sanger was founded by George W. Dutton and James Humes as a small farming community on Rancho San Antonio de Padua near present-day Concord. The two men were interested in starting a coffee farm because they felt that coffee would be a valuable crop for their community. The first coffee beans were grown at Dutton's farm in 1880, and it was here that he developed his own methods for roasting and brewing coffee. Dutton's success led to other farmers starting their own farms around the area, and within 10 years there were more than 50 coffee farms operating in Sanger. The importance of this industry cannot be understated; Coffee was one of the few things that could bring people together during tough times. In 1938, when World War II began, Sagerians turned to coffee as their primary source of sustenance due to rationing ordinances instituted during the war. Coffee continued to play an important role in local economy until after World War II ended; many young people decided to stay behind after the war while their parents started new businesses or returned back home to continue working in agriculture (Leeson). Throughout these decades, many advancements have been made in coffee technology; from producing lower quality beans for export to developing better ways of packaging and marketing products (Fenton). However, one thing that hasn't changed is the dedication towards quality control amongst producers/sellers/ consumers alike - today's coffees are still delicious rituals enjoyed by locals throughout California (Halligan).

Coffee was mentioned as early as 2,500 BC when it was mentioned in the Greek text "Odyssey". Coffee became popularized in Europe during the 18th century. In 1764, a group of Italian scientists discovered coffee beans on an islands off Sardinia. They named the island and its seed variety after their discovery – Pontin's Coffee. In 1795, two Swiss brothers, Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Pierre-Simon Laplace, discovered hydrocarbons under water near Geneva. These discoveries led to Switzerland becoming one of the world's leading coffee producing countries. By 1800, coffee had become so important to Switzerland that they began producing beans on an industrial scale. In 1912, Dutch scientist Piet Oudolf found caffeine in green coffee beans while studying plant growth at Zürich University. He named this new discovery – Central American Coffee – and began marketing it as Dutch Schultz' coffee chain across Holland and Germany. That same year, Rene Dubos founded two French companies: L’Ecole des Beaux Arts et Le Petit Peuple Coffee Company Limited (founded 1919) and Criquière SA (founded 1945). These companies were responsible for creating some of the most iconic brands in history such as Dunkin' Donuts®, Starbucks®, KFC®, McDonalds® and Nestle® products. Sanger, California is a town in the San Joaquin Valley of California and the seat of Sanger County. The population was 9,887 at the 2010 census. It is located in the Central Valley on the east side of the Sanger-Livermore River. The Sangers first settled here in 1851 as part of Rancho sale de las Pulgas (now part of Livermore). Harry Hurd, an early settler and rancher, named his property after George Washington Carver who had visited him in 1839. By 1865 all but four families had left for various reasons: war with Mexico; social unrest brought on by new railroad development; or financial problems caused by overproduction from mines near Sanger. In 1886 John Clements opened what became known as "the most famous coffee shop in America" – Java House – at 6th and Mission Streets. Java House was one of several early businesses that helped to revive downtown Sanger during its heyday before Prohibition began taxing local retail incomes above $5 per hour. In 1951 Java House moved to 601 Stevenson Street and reopened as The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf until it closed in 1984 following a fire which destroyed much of its building including Java House itself.
Sanger is a small town in San Bernardino County, California. The population was 7,864 at the 2000 census. Sanger is located on the edge of the Mojave Desert and it has an average elevation of 4,500 feet (1,500 m). The town was founded in 1879 by Ezra Sanger and his brother Charles as an animal husbandry station. In 1886, Sanger founded what would become known as the California Fruit Growers Cooperative to export fruit from his farmstead. In 1907, he donated land for a public school district and in 1916 donated land for a hospital. In 1940, Sanger became one of the first recipients of United States citizenship after serving as Mayor of Los Angeles from 1935-1940. He died in 1984 at age 91.

In 1795 parchment rolls containing drawings of plants used for quality control became known as “the Bible of Caffeine” because such rolls had been used by American farmers early on to test new varieties of crops before planting them into fields By 1822 British sailors had come ashore onshore at Jamestown Island in Virginia during the First Barbary War and brought back plants with them which eventually led to developing better roast methods for espresso drinks called ‘British Style Espresso’ Coffee has been enjoyed by humans throughout its journey from Central Africa through South Asia and Europe. Over time it has become increasingly popular in developed countries such as North America where it has replaced milk as our default beverage Although rare today due to low production costs associated with global trade innovations such as mobile phone usage which now allow us access to so many flavorsofthe bean variety we once depended upon like no other commodity ,coffee remains one of humanity's greatest gifts
