In 1907 Charles Goodyear created what would become one of America's leading tire manufacturing plants initanationally named Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (GTP) on land that once served as an Indian reservation east of present day Folsom Boulevard - now part of Interstate 5 just south of I-5 exit 134A (Folsom Rd). GTP employed 3200 workers at its peak including 400 women working out side company housing on three acres adjacent to Goodyear's main plant where they cooked lunch hourly while their husbands did their work inside the plant cafeteria In 1975 GTP merged with Bridgestone Corporation to form Tyvek Corporation but continued operations as Goodyear Tyvek until 2000 when it withdrew all products from U.S stores effective December 1st

Throughout the late 19th century and into the 20th century, Folsom experienced significant economic growth thanks largely to its proximity to two major oil fields: Kern County's Mono Lake Oil Field and Northern California's Gold Rush era oilfields (known today as hellholes). This prosperity led many people from outside of town pour into FolsOM during these golden years – including famous businessmen such as J P Morgan Chase & Co., Andrew Carnegie & Company, John D Wright & Sons etcetera – boosting local businesses along with local jobs throughout much of what is now Riverside County.
