In 1951, The Green Dragon Cafe opened up on Third Street and became one of the first places in town to offer drip coffee service with its own location inside an old bank building – this allowed people living near Third Street to have access to high-quality drip coffee without havingto go out into town for it. In 1969, Mr. KFC founded his own smallbatch coffee company called MrKFC Enterprises which started serving cup of joe from their original premise inside a restaurant on Second Avenue in downtown Chico – this allowed people living near Second Avenue (and many other areas within downtown) access to high-quality cupof joe without havingto go out into town for it. From 1974 until 2001, MrKFC produced its entire roasted crop using only local water and sunflower oil – this allowed them to maintain complete control over each and every bean they roasted until they reached your hands!
