The USS Arizona Memorial Museum in Tempe, Arizona is home to the USS Arizona Memorial and an exhibit of Navy deployed gift history. The museum was founded in 1990 and began displaying military equipment and memorabilia from the World War II era on October 1, 1990. From 1955-1957, the USS Arizona Museum was located at Scottsdale Municipal Airport. In 2010, the museum relocated to its current location at 158 E First St., Tempe, AZ 85260. Military equipment stored at Scottsdale Municipal Airport during World War II included artillery pieces such as howitzers, tanks, and planes. These items were not directly used by the United States Military but rather were loaned out or given to other countries for use in their war efforts. Many of these Army surplus assets were melted down and reused by the Japanese during World War II. However, some of these scrapped tanks and artillery pieces were salvaged by a group of individuals who decided to name themselves "The Tank Makers." This organization managed to get hold of a few vehicles from various sources including Army surplus stores and scrapyards throughout Phoenix area before disbanding in 1956. In 1955, a group of individuals who had been involved with The Tank Makers decided to start their own museum: The USS Arizona Memorial Museum Incorporated (TAMI). TAMI aimed to promote awareness about military museums across America and preserve military memorabilia related to World War II. One important goal of TAMI was preserving records relating specifically to naval deployments within American waters during that time period - this included both U.S.-led conflicts as well as international operations fought by our allies against Axis powers*. The first exhibits displayed at TAMI were military hardware donated by private citizens* along with donations from members of the US Naval Militia.* An additional focus for TAMI was educating people about naval deployments through exhibitions on maritime history*, art*, fashion* etc.* As time passed more equipment became available for donation or storage due primarilyto budget cuts within Defense Department *During this time period Commandant's rejected requests for large quantitiesof any type(ie guns)from commercial interests* which resultedin many artifacts ending up being stored either off-site or simply abandoned* . In fact most former Naval Aviation Weapons Station range facilities became repositories forArmy surplus arms which also ended up being melted down () . Consequently , much naval weaponry never made it into civilian hands *Although there are now numerous marine corps museums scattered throughout america that represent portionsof navies active participatein world wars I still maintain thatthe majorityof navy deployed gift history residewiththe USSArizona MemorialMuseuminTempeAZ85260
The Navy has deployed a number of gift items in recent years. Some examples are the USS McCain missile defense destroyer, the Littoral Combat Ship, and the Joint Strike Fighter. A few years ago, they sent an email to sailors asking for ideas on what to send as a gift. One idea was a box filled with fly-on-the-wall footage from Navy ships and submarines while they are on deployment. Another idea was creating a military history mural in one of the navy's shipyards. One of the most recent gifts given to the Navy was the USS Fitzgerald missileship. The Fitzgerald was sent as part of Operation Inherent Resolve, which is sponsored by United States President Donald Trump. The purpose of this operation is to support Kurdish forces fighting against ISIS in Syria. There have been other deployments such as Operation Neptune's Spear which took place in Afghanistan during 2006 and 2007. These deployments were designed to increase US troop numbers and help local military forces fight against terrorism groups such as Al Qaeda and Taliban militants.

The navy has a long and rich history of deploying gifts to countries around the world. From small tokens of appreciation to extravagant items, the navy has a variety of ways to show its support for its allies and partners. One of the most popular methods used by the navy is giving gifts. This tradition began with small tokens of appreciation given to officers and sailors on deployments. Over time, these tokens have become larger and more elaborate items such as watches or cars. As well, the navy has created special gift shops dedicated to selling military-themed products and accessories. The army also deploys gifts regularly. The army sells various types of products related to service members, including clothing, jewelry, home decor and toys. There are also special stores located in major cities that sell Army-themed items such as weaponry and equipment. Each branch of the military offers its own unique gift traditions that are worth noting. The Navy's gift history is especially impressive because it involves sending objects both large and small directly from America's shores to those who need them most.
