The history of the United States Army begins with its establishment as a volunteer force in 1775. The Continental Army was initially made up of men from New England, who volunteered to fight for the British Crown. After the end of the Revolutionary War, many veteran soldiers and civilians decided to stay in America and form their own militias to protect their homes and liberties. In 1846, President James K. Polk created the Department of Indian Affairs within the Department of War to manage and provide financial support to American Indian tribes fighting on behalf of the United States. This new department allowed white Americans living on Indian reservations to purchase firearms and ammunition without fear of retribution from Native Americans. As more and more people began buying weapons, armies became necessary for defense against attack by Native Americans or other hostile groups. In 1903, Congress passed an act creating the National Guard Bureau under Secretary David Davis with responsibility for organizing state militias into companies (or regiments) with a total strength of 25 Officers and 350 enlisted men. The act also authorized each state governor to call forth up to 1,000 militia troops for duty in case of insurrection or invasion by any foreign power or political subdivision thereof. The first unit activated under this new system was Company A (Arizona) Infantry Regiment at Camp Bowie near Tucson on November 2, 1903. By 1907 company numbers had been standardized statewide so that all units could be called up according to their location at any time during wartime; thus Regimental Headquarters Company (ARCOM), First Arizona Infantry Brigade was activated at Camp Bowie on October 14th 1907 as part of a large expansion in troop organization following World War I which saw America enter into conflict with Russia over Alaska . During World War II there were numerous changes occurss due To ample armament requirements especially due To Japan's bombing campaigns along US coasts In 1945 we again experienced mobilization thru mobilizing what is now referred as Operation Neptune's Spear which was conducted Separation Day 07/15/1945 until Oct 15th when it finally ended after Japanese surrender

Surprise, Arizona is a small town located in Pima County, Arizona. The population was 1,821 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tucson metropolitan area. The history of Surprise can be traced back to 1870 when John Wesley Powell and his party traveled through this area on their way to the North Pole. In 1912, Clarence King established a post office in what is now Surprise. The first settlers were farmers who had to rely on Native American aid for food and shelter during the winter months. In 1924, Avis Rent-a-Car began service here. As air travel became increasingly popular, businesses such as Sears Roebuck & Co., Time Warner Cable, and Pizza Hut opened up shop here soon after. After World War II ended and demand for commercial space increased throughout Phoenix and Tucson, Surprise emerged as a prospering community with its own police department (1948), fire department (1954), school district (1962), shopping center (1983), and hospital/ambulatory care center (1998). During the late 1990s and early 2000s there was an increase in illegal immigration due to NAFTA trade deals that left many jobs open fewer hours in America while increasing wages abroad; this created tension between locals and immigrants living in Surprise who were seeking access to education or work opportunities but found themselves outmatched by those based in other towns within Pima County. By 2006 there had been some success stories where people from outside of Surprise had tried to enter intotown without proper documentation only to be turned away because they did not meet certain eligibility requirements such as being born inside of the United States or being over 18 years old at the time of application. This led to protests by local residents against what they saw as unfairness by county officials who claimed that these measures were necessary for law enforcement purposes only. Surprise, Arizona is a small town in Pinal County, Arizona. The community was founded in 1907 by the original owners of the land who named it after their rancho, or farmstead. The first post office was established in 1912. The settlement grew rapidly due to the discovery of oil and gas reserves on neighboring lands during World War I and II. In 1951, the townsite of Surprise was transferred from Pinal County to Navajo Nation pursuant to an agreement between the two nations. As part of that transfer, all residents were required to move out of their homes by December 1st that year. Only a few people remain in Surprise and most residents now live within Indian reservations or on other Native American properties outside of Arizona. However, some descendants of those original settlers still live in Surprise and are involved with its history and cultural heritage. Surprise's earliest known inhabitants may have been Paiute tribe members who lived nearBYU (Bryce University) until they were driven off the property by Spanish missionaries in 1775. A group of Mormon pioneers arrived at what is now Surprise on February 14, 1879, under contract from LDS founder Brigham Young to prospect for gold Along with others they camped around what is now Serna Mesa before moving into present-day Surprise late that summer when strike results led them backtracking downstream towards Cottonwood Canyon where they discovered San Pedro River water supplies which led them to name their new settlement after General Hugh Waddy’s unit which had just won an important battle against Mexican forces at Palo Alto Field east of Tucson . It wasn’t until 1925 when local historian Dr. Harry Haggarty located Paleo-Indian projectile points dating back over 10,000 years old at nearby Petrified Forest National Park while doing research for his book Ancient Apache Settlements: Their Development and Significance published by Northern Arizona University Press that serious scientific debate began about whether or not these ancient humans ever actually visited America westward as has been claimed by many historians up through today including myself . After much study it became clear that there was no evidence whatsoever linking any modern human activity with this area prior thereto despite numerous additional finds throughout ensuing years . From hereonforth “ petrified forest” would continue to be used as both a common noun meaning any extinct tree or structure found within national park boundaries as well as an adjective describing any older formation made entirely out of hard rock without organic remains remaining only making occasional appearances herein such as during excavations for new hotel rooms backsides thereof today lol .. sooooo goes our little desert town
