The National Guard of Arizona was first organized on February 14, 1912. It was founded in response to the Spanish-American War and the entry into the United States of Mexico by Calendar Year 1913. The first Governor of Arizona, James Buchanan, called for a volunteer force to help protect the state's borders. On March 15, 1912, Governor Buchanan appointed a commission to create a state guard and provide military training for men between 18 and 25 years old. The commission also recommended that membership be open to all adults who could bear arms and live in an area adjacent to Arizona's western border. On October 1st of that year, Governor Butler signed legislation creating the National Guard of Arizona. At its inception, the National Guard consisted of 8 companies consisting of 100 soldiers each. The first unit activated was Company A at Tucson on November 5th 1912. In 1913 Company B became part of Company A whileCompany C disbanded on July 4th 1914 because its members were not available for military service during World War I due to their civilian jobs as teachers and farmers in Nogales (Arizona). In 1916 Companies D-G were formed from individuals who had enlisted in Company C before it disbanded on July 4th 1914 due to lack of volunteers or equipment (in 1916 there were only five companies active in Arizona). In 1920 Companies H-J were raised from citizens volunteering with Model T cars as messengers with no combat experience but good driving skills; these units served until 1924 when they were replaced by tank companies equipped with 105mm guns named after famous generals such as Douglas MacArthur and John Pershing In 1925 Military District No 1 was created including parts of Phoenix including Nogales which became Headquarters for this district is 1926 and remains so today except for periods when Headquarters is moved somewhere else withinArizona or when it is vacant

Nogales, Arizona is a town in the state of Arizona. The population was 3,814 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. It is located on the edge of Nogales Desert and has an elevation of 1,200 feet (300 m). The name "Nogales" may be derived from Apache Chief Nachitcheen's traditional name for this region: "Hogan's Hinterland." Nogales was founded in 1881 by Captain John Ford as a trading post on the route between Tucson and Window Rock. In 1898, it became an American military base during World War I when General John Pershing made it a staging area for his conquest of Mexico. After World War II, Nogale served as both a United States airbase and military garrison until its closure in 1984. Today, much of what once constituted Nogales' downtown core remains unoccupied or underdeveloped due to its proximity to Phoenix and other metropolitan areas; however, there are several businesses that have successfully grown in this difficult environment such as Biltmore Fashion Group Inc., Cactus Wireless Holding LLC., Goldwater Gulch Golf Course & Resort Ltd., Home Depot Inc., and Navajo Nation Tribal Housing Authority #1 Limited Partnership which manages more than 6500 apartments within walking distance of most retail stores in central Phoenix

The National Guard has been used as a reserve force for many different purposes throughout its history. The most recent use of the National Guard may be seen in the current generation of Americans who have become activated by President Donald Trump's orders to increase military readiness and protect our country from potential threats. National Guard members serve anywhere in the United States, but their primary purpose is to provide backup to state and local law enforcement when called into action. In addition to providing security at events such as parades and rallies, Guardsmen also help maintain public order during special times like Thanksgiving or Memorial Day. Nogales, Arizona is a small town located in the south-central corner of Arizona. It is bordered by the Mexican state of Sonora to the east, and Nogales County to the west. The population was estimated at 8,823 as of 2010. The name "Nogales" comes from the Navajos who settled in this area in 1860. The first organized settlement in what is now Nogales County was made by Father José de la Cruz on July 3, 1867. In 1868, Englishman Alfred Crosby explored this portion of present-day Arizona and named it after John Neely Foster, an American missionary who had worked among the Navajo people earlier that year. In 1872, a post office was established at Nogale and began operations under the name of Prescott. On November 1st of that year, Congress passed an act appropriating $5 for each county seat within Arizona Territory to be established “at once”; however, no such offices were ever established within Nogales County. The only office until 1912 when a post office called Fort Sumner became operational was that at Pima City which received its first mail on February 12th 1911 from Prescott via carrier pigeon! In 1912 McClure Earp sent out a mounted posse into Apache country looking for cattle rustlers led by Tom Mix which resulted in one man dead and five others wounded including Earp himself! This event changed forever how law enforcement operated throughout much of North America as outlaws could not simply target villages with impunity anymore! On October 24th 1913 Territorial Governor Richard Baca signed an proclamation creating Cochise County from part of Arizonan territory following a referendum held in November 1912 which had authorized him to do so pursuant to Article 3 Section 2(a) of the Organic Law Enacted on September 15th 1912 (Pamphlet 910).
