However, by 1945, Goodyears fortunes had reversed and it reverted back to its original business focus - tires and other transportation products. In 1957,Good Year merged with Chrysler Corporation (Chrysler Group) forming what would become America's largest makers of autos and trucks (Chrysler Motors). Over time this merger led to significant changes for both companies - including mergers with other automakers (Honda Motors in 1996; Toyota Motor Corp.) In 2007-2008, Chrysler filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection which resulted in job losses across many divisions but left the automotive arm unharmed

By 1886 good year had developed into a prosperous agricultural center supplying much of Southern Arizona with fresh produce not only for local consumption but also exported to Tucson and Las Vegas Nevada!
