The Air Force has a rich history in Fountain Hills, Arizona. The first Boeing 707 aircraft were delivered to the Air Force in 1955. Today, the Air Force operates more than 190 aircraft, making it one of the most diverse air forces in the world. One of the most recent additions to the Air Force fleet is the F-35C Joint Strike Fighter. The F-35C is a next generation fighter that promises to revolutionize warfare and provide an unparalleled level of airspace defense for America and her allies. One of the many reasons why Fountain Hills is such an important community for the Air Force is because it houses one of its main training facilities, Mesa Community College (MCC). MCC was founded in 1947 as Phoenix Army National Guard Base Technical School and became Mesa Community College when it was transferred from the USAAF to become operational full time on October 1st, 1947. With over 270 students currently enrolled at MCC, it offers various fields such as aviation technology, business administration, engineering/technology, criminal justice/law enforcement services and more. In addition to providing education opportunities for local citizens and military members alike, MCC also helps support other DoD activities throughoutPhoenix area including installation security patrols; aerial refueling operations; law enforcement duties; emergency preparedness exercises; natural disaster relief efforts; construction management; research and development projects;and more. The Air Force presence in Fountain Hills dates back before World War II when General James vetch's command established a detachment at Fort Huachuca on July 25th 1925 with two Curtiss P-40 War Hawks which served until 1928 when they were replaced by North American Aviation P-51 Mustangs which served until 1945. After World War II ended there was no decision made about what type of air force would be created so General Curtis LeMay assigned Major General Harry Haines with responsibility for planning purposes with jurisdiction over all USAF installations worldwide within three sectors: Western Europe (Germany & Holland), ChinaFE (Beijing) & Japan Mainland (Tokyo). This led to establishment on November 10th 1946 Headquarters USAF Taipei AFB Atoll where 45 BuShips operated under contracts from foreign governments as part ofOperation Paperclip which brought top German scientists & engineers to AmericaFor research purposes only! These scientists formedthe first AAF Wing at Taipei AFB called "Task Unit 95" during hostilities thru 1948 while stationed aboard USS Oriskany moored off Taiwan!!! As Korea began Project Arrow -USSF plans for a massive counteroffensive involving all Services against Communist Chinese forces - Headquarters USAF changed their name from Taipei AFB To Ozawa AB On January 8th 1950 under command of First Lieutenant Colonel Frank Crippen who later became Commander 2nd AF Ike Turner Field USA after Operation Earhart rescued American servicemen stranded near Okinawa!!!" The population was 2,521 at the 2010 census. Fountain Hills is known for its parade, which takes place every year on November 5th. The parade begins at 4:00pm local time and ends about 6:00pm local time.

In 2013, it was announced that the USAF would be awarding four Medals of Honor honoring members who have given their lives while serving in uniform within the USAF. This includes General Curtis LeMay, who led US Strategic Air Forces during World War II; Colonel James Mattis, commander of US Central Command during Operation Inherent Resolve; and Sergeant First Class Talia Zimmerman from Fort Hood Texas who lost her life while conducting combat operations against ISIS.

Fountain Hills is a small town located in the Phoenix metropolitan area. It was founded in 1881 by John W. Fountain and his wife, Emma Hennepin Fountain. The community derives its name from nearby Fountain of Youth Springs. The population of the town reached 4,000 in 1907. By 1960, the population had declined to 2,500 and it has only grown since then to its current size of 7,700 people. The history of Fountain Hills can be traced back to 1881 when John W. Fountain and Emma Hennepin Fountain settled in what is now known as Fountain Hills after purchasing 640 acres north of Phoenix onetime land grant from Pima County Sheriff Don Armstrong for $1,000 USD per acre (approximately $24 per hectare). In addition to their new home, the Fountains also began construction on a schoolhouse which was completed in 1882-83 and served as the nucleus for future schools throughout the region. John W. Fountain’s grandson Alex Jaffe played a significant role in modern day life at Fountain Hills with his dedication to civic activism that included serving on many local boards and being one of the first mayors of Mesa City Limits before he became Mayor pro tempore of Arizona State University during both Harry S Truman’s presidential administrations (1945-1953) – an experience that helped him develop a strong interest in public service politics which would later guide his career as an executive with major corporations such as United Airlines and PepsiCo conglomerate during much of the early 21st century until he retired from those pursuits at age 85 effective December 1st, 2017 having held that position for over 50 years! Fountain Hills has been home to numerous businesses including Western Printing Company which operated outof what is now Mesa High School; Intermountain Gas Transmission Company which transported natural gas beneath Interstate 10 through downtown Phoenix; American Telephone & Telegraph Company – parent company until 1987 when AT&T merged with BellSouth – whose main corporate headquarters were located across from First National Bank adjacent to today’s Verizon Wireless facility; Mesa Arts Council who operate Four Seasons arts center within walking distance;and most recently Pinnacle Storage Solutions who are expanding their operations into Downtown Valley Plaza just off I-10 south east of downtownPhoenix! A variety of cultural attractions have been enjoyed by residents or visitors alike over time including art galleries (like Maricopa County Museum), movie theaters (including UA Cinema 8], restaurants like Olive Garden/Pizza Hut/Chili's Pizza & Pasta Warehouse/, golf courses (including Scottsdale Golf Course), water parks (like Magic Mountain Resort), amphitheaters (like Camelback Amphitheater)and more!
