The first unit of Patrolman's Special Constabulary was organized and commenced operations on November 3, 1912. It was not until December 8, 1914 that a full-time Police Department was established with one Officer per precinct. The City of Flagstaff added its first fire department in 1916. That same year officers were also appointed to the Municipal Court which later became the County Courthouse. The present Police Department facility was dedicated on May 14, 1923 and is now home to the Community Services Bureau. In 1941 an Officers' Mess was erected at Seventh Avenue and Grant Street in memory of those killed or wounded while serving in World War II. On October 15, 1951 an officers' lounge and dining room were constructed at Second Street and Roosevelt Drive in honor of Mr. Kapp who had served as Chief Deputy Marshal from 1944-1950 when he left office after 36 years service as a Chief Deputy Marshal herewith subject to retirement age requirements having been met for both positions; he had been longest-serving member of any law enforcement agency within the City limits (at least since 1920). On February 5, 1960 Mayor Dominguez presented a plaque honoring Sergeant Harry Ahern who lost his life during an emergency response to a traffic stop; it reads "Harry Ahern Memorial plaque." A new Officers' Mess/Dining Room Complex was completed on January 9th 1984 at Fourth Street and Grant Avenue; it is currently known as Ice Cream casino hotel banquet hall operated by Scotts Valley Chamber Dinner & Banquet League - Incorporated under contract with Flagstaff city government through Master Agreements No.(C)1984 Type I agreeable to all parties hereinbefore referred to as "Flagstaff Police Department". banquet expenses are paid out of this fund monthly through private individual contributions which come into Effect upon our successful completion of said project."

Phoenix began to grow rapidly during World War II with FIGHTING FOR OUR FUTURE munitions production plants starting up in 1941 and continuing until 1945; these made Flagstaff an important industrial center for war production throughout much of southern Arizona and parts of New Mexico; some $5 billion worth of goods were produced here alone during World War II. Afterward, many factories closed due to competition from more efficient Japanese mills but also because labor costs rose sharply following World War II while productivity remained high in U S industry overall thanks to mass production techniques originated during wartime – things that continue into today’s era with large manufacturers like Wal-Mart still using many same methods across different countries worldwide despite increasing prices). The postwar boom ended abruptly when technological advancements led to larger output per worker while wages stagnated or fell behind those available in other nations – another hallmark of American capitalism that has held steady through successive recessions (though automation has slowly begun to offset some lost jobs over time). Flagstaff, Arizona is a small city in Pima County, Arizona. The population was 30,818 at the 2010 census. Flagstaff is the county seat of Pima County. The name "Flagstaff" comes from the Spanish word "falestero", meaning "to lie down". The first recorded settlement in what is now Flagstaff was made by the Apache people in 1827. In 1863, surveyor George W. Smith discovered gold and silver buried near present-day Phoenix on land that later became part of Tucson. This led to rapid growth of Tucson and its adjacent towns until 1881 when Governor James Fife ordered all miners out of the state because of fears they would contaminate other parts of Arizona with their mines. The first flagging or flying of a American flag in Flagstaff occurred on December 14, 1887 when Commodore John Jellico's squadron sailed into town to celebrate America's entry into World War I as part of Ulysses S Grant's Three Alls Expeditionary Force under Rear Admiral Richard Easley's command In 1950, Congress passed Public Law 623 which amended Section 9103(a) (the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1950), which prohibited any person from displaying or waving any Stars and Stripes without a proper license from the United States Patent Office On July 26th 1948, President Harry Truman signed Executive Order 13653 creating the University Park Corporation The university park corporation was created to establish Flagstaff as a center for research and education in aerospace engineering In 1961, Republic National Bank opened up shop on Main Street downtown There has been much redevelopment over recent years with many new buildings being built including: the Palazzo Grande hotel complex; Regency Village shopping mall; Conrad Grand Resort & Spa; Northern Lights Golf Course; Towers Place condominiums; Lockheed Martin Redstone Arsenal Site Headquarters Building completed in November 2009; 2 properties were sold by Republic National Bank - one called Waterford Plaza located east off San Pedro Roadmileage Rd., near Interstate 10 exit 232A/AZ State Route 190A&B while another called Waterford Plaza located west off Central Avenue Mileage Rd., just south oof SR 190A&B Interstate 10 exit 233A/AZ State Route 191A&B
