Phoenix's economy grew rapidly during the late 19th century due to its location at the intersection of two major trade routes - Route 66 ran through town and led to Tucson while Highway 8connected it with Yuma and Prescott. Industry such as mining (including copper), lumbering, agriculture (including citrus), packinghouses for goods arriving by railroad or boat (which led to development around Terminal Island), hotel-restaurants/bars/nightclubs along First Street NW served as engines driving economic growth until after World War II when industry declined and downtown services were relocated elsewhere within present day Chandler boundaries

This event is widely considered as being ground zero for aviation technology! 3) Dwight D Eisenhower: President Dwight D Eisenhower decided to send troops overseas rather than go through World War II on board USS Missouri which had been sunk by Japan just days earlier; he ordered Operation Neptune's Spear which resulted inOperation Sea Lion which aimed to stop any Japanese military activity within Southeast Asia 4) Neil Armstrong: On July 20th 1969 at 1 p.m., Neil Armstrong became first man on Earth when he steps onto what would later be known as Apollo 11 surface module wearing a spacesuit! He continued his journey into space thereafter becoming Commander-in-Chief Of The American Space Agency before passing away in 2012
