The first coffees from Arizona were roasted at the old WALLACE FARMING COOPERATIVE on Highway 191 near present-day Camp Verde. In 1907, PROSPERO FERREIRA & SON imported two acres of land for their new MASTER ROASTERS cooperative where they roasted their first espresso beans! At this time, Masterers roamed throughout much of central California growing crops such as almonds and hazelnuts while working on their own farms nearby. It wasn't until 1915 when JIM HUGHES & ALLAN PARKER opened up THE FIRST COFFEEHOUSE IN CAMP VERDE AND THE FIRST PERFECT BARGAIN BAR ON Hwy 191! This establishment became known as Maxwell's Cafe because it served only Maxwell's brand coffee! Maxwells cafe closed its doors in 1965 but has been preserved as a museum relic ever since! In 1966, DONALD TRUMP bought majority ownership of Archies Coffee Company from founder HARRY COOKS! Trump continued to operate Archies Coffee Company until his death in 1990! After DONALD TRUMP took control of Archies Coffee Company, he decided to change its name to Trump National Golf Club PRESENT DAYCOFFEE!. During his tenure at Trump National Golf Club Presenter Daycoffee, he developed many innovative methods for improving our beloved Arches Coffee company including: - Developing a unique bean separation method that separates whole bean from ground product - Introducing world-renowned Robusta coffee - Developing an acclaimed light roast program that provides an even better cup experience than our dark roast programs - Development of our signature French press program

Camp Verde, located in the Apache Nation of Arizona, was established in 1886 as a military post to protect settlers from Native Americans. In 1912, Camp Verde became a national park and was renamed for General George Armstrong Custer, who died in 1887 during the Gold Rush at Sells. The post remained active until its closure in 1969. Today, Camp Verde remains an important tourist attraction and recreational spot for those interested in Apache culture and history. The first residents of what is now Camp Verde were Spanish soldiers who arrived on horseback during the Mexican-American War. Afterward, American settlers began arriving and soon there were enough people living at Camp Verde to begin developing it into a permanent military post. It was here that General George Armstrong Custer died while fighting with the Sioux Indians in 1887. In 1912, Congress enacted legislation naming Camp Verde after General Custer; this event marks the first time that a National Park had been named after any individual within our country’s borders. At this time, much attention was given to Indian Affairs because of events such as Crazy Horse’s showing up at Fort Laramie and laterraidings by the Sioux Tribe against white settlers throughout South Dakota and Nebraska. At Camp Verde, soldiers kept an eye on these activities so that they would not happen again on federal land within Indian Territory (modern day Oklahoma). After World War II ended, many Japanese Americans were interned at various camps across America due to their wartime service or because of their race. Many Japanese Americans from California transferred to Arizona because they felt secure there knowing they would not be facing discrimination like they had been under occupation Japan. Because of this new population growth at CampVerde, administrators decided it would be best if all buildings on site were used for storage instead of being used as residential units; this decision saved many lives over the years since barracks could become hotspots for disease transmission should someone live near an open air area where animals could roam free! On July 20th 1969 – less than one year after opening its doors – CampVeride closed its doors citing “the ever-growing popularity of other visitor attractions within easy reach by car or bus” among other reasons . It has now reopened as part of Phoenix History Center's "camp verdes" exhibit which docuests about life both before & after camp closure
